As usual we struggled a bit to read the menus and place orders. Luckily, beer is pretty universal and we were able to get drinks pretty easily. They have beer on tap and in the bottle. When the drinks arrived we placed our orders. We ordered appetizers of Prosciutto de parma with mozzarella and a wide variety of entrees. The tortelli was delivered first and it felt like a long time before the next entree arrived. After the next entree arrived it also felt like a long time before the next entrees arrived. The last three arrived at the same time. Most of what was ordered looked really good and tasted really good. the pizza with the fries on it just seemed strange. We were surprised how long it took considering how few people were in the restaurant. It did appear they had a lot of to-go orders, especially pizza. We would try this place again but we would be more weary of what we ordered, it felt hit or miss.

We decided to get a carafe of their house red sparkling wine and a few of us ordered their beer on tap. Some of us ordered pizza and others ordered calzone, spaghetti, and mussels and clams. The mussels and clams very good. The spaghetti bolognese was awesome. (He kept saying ummm and yummm.) And the pizza's and calzone were also delicous. They are nothing like what is used in the U.S. The pizza boxes in Italy have amazing graphics. The boxes were also a different shape, they were not square, they were rectangular shaped. The pizza's arrived in good shape and looked really tasty. We had a few varieties but I took pictures of the meat pizza which had no cheese, just dough, sauce and meat. This one was really good. We also had a cheese pizza which was really good. The others were good as well but were of different varieties. We can't speak much for the location because we did not eat there and did not pursue anything else on the menu but overall this was a good experience and we were satisfied.

After taking the red-eye from ATL, we were all pretty tired and had a driver arranged to take us from MXP to this hotel in Castelnovo Di Sotto. We arrived a little before noon and there was a sign on the door that said they would open at 5pm with a phone number. Our driver called the number and someone said they would be right over. When they arrived we discovered the last two weeks were a holiday period for the summer in which many businesses close down for time off. In fact, the hotel had been closed the last 10 days. The lady that checked us in was extremely helpful and also drove us to get something to eat and picked us up using the hotel shuttle. The rooms were clean but felt like they could use some updating. We were thankful that the hotel has A/C in the rooms because it was so hot and humid outside. It did not feel like my room got very cool. Every evening when we returned, our A/C was off and the room was was hot. It took hours to cool back down. There did not appear to be any A/C in the hallway or lobby because they were always hot and humid. We immediately noticed that the water had an odor and did not taste good. We all agreed with this assessment. The free WiFi was acceptable to do work as long as it was not too intensive. The bed in my room was very firm. So much that my back was sore in the morning. Overall, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. There are not many options in the area and this place met our needs but I would not have stayed here otherwise.
