I had sprained my lat at the gym and was prescribed anti-inflammatory medication by my doctor. By the third week I was still experiencing pain and stiffness, needless to say I was fed up. I decided to go to a sports injury therapist and found Matvey Kipershtein at YMT. After one session with him I was free of my pain. The next day I no longer had the pain or stiffness and within a couple days I was back at the gym. Matvey is skilled, knowledgeable and honest. He knows his stuff and will answer any questions you have. There was never any pressure for follow up appointments and during my appointment there was never any feelings of a time constraint (as stated in the three star review).

To add to the confusion, some of the staff move around so if you find someone you would like to use again, you need to ask for their card and contact. They sometimes work at one spa, and then move to a different one in the area so you need to ask for their availably and not assume anything. As well, their business cards may be from another spa, and not the one you were in. And since their technique and training vary widely, it helps to know what you're in for. The reflexology was done in the massage room, which wasn't quite as good since she skipped the soaking in hot water part, which is good in that there's more time for massage, but bad in that the soaking seems to help relax your feet and feels great! I like a light extraction, but she was quite rough. Still, it was effective and I liked her. She was really nice and gave me good advice for my skin - especially considering that I don't do facials regularly. I love that they also offer SPF treatment at the end so your fresh skin is protected on your way out the door. Booking here was not the easiest thing. It was a little difficult to understand all the pages on their website, but now that I've gone through the process - I can understand their packages better. I will say, I did not like speaking with the receptionist. She's quite forceful and talks over you a lot. I wanted the answer to one simple question and she went on for almost 7 minutes. I was quite frustrated and almost didn't book because I didn't enjoy the interaction with her. Have been going here several times with different masseuse and enjoy most of their massages. Definitely a relaxing experience and they end up giving you a sweet camomille tea as you pay.
