They don't allow backpacks into the Duomo, so you may have to leave it to the backpack check in location. The view is majestic and the architecture is full of details and its surprising that it was done centuries ago... Definitely worth coming to this place!

Now I have a bigger complaint because the hospital link to customer complaints does not work. And based on my past weeks exerience with Careggi Hospital, it makws sense the hispiral has no cuskmter service. My feiend Javier has been in intensive care for two weeks. He is breathing on his own now, even walking around and anxious to be dischaeged. However, the hospital is scheduling multiple cat scans. I am not a medical doctor, so I cannot questio the rationale for so many scans. But what I do have a maior problem with is that scans are scheduled on multople days in the morning, but never happens on time. Javier often waits until late afternoon, and now today, with no food because he cannot eat prior to the scan. How is a patient suppose to get better if the hospital starves a patient for over 20 hours. His last meal was dinner yesterday at 21:00 yesterday and it is now 18:00 today. This care is becoming poorer every day and no one wants to hear these complaints, this is just there normal operating procedure. This is very sad as I am sure numerous patients are experiencing the same lack of care. Shameful really!

My adult daughter was in this hospital for 9 days -- she fell broke ribs and punctured her lung…read more the good news she walked out and she did not get pneumonia. the downside is the hospital looks like a 1950s building that has not been maintained. i have never seen a hospital in the US with a physical plant that bad. none of the doctors spoke fluent english. the private rooms do not have bathrooms. the public bathrooms are dirty. several days my daughter was seen by staff for 15 minutes twice a day. tge US doctors we were consulting with felt the treatment protocol was suboptimal. if you red to go to a hospital in Italy go to a regional center and avoid the second their local hospitals.

Everyone was very helpful and concerned for my comfort. After my initial exam and x-rays (which occurred soon after I arrived), I had to wait for the diagnosis and next steps, but nothing like what I have experienced in American emergency rooms. My biggest complaint is that the doctor who provided the initial assessment (and spoke some English) was not the same doctor who provided the diagnosis and after-care instructions. This was a problem because only the triage doctor, Dr. Lorenzo Giannelli, spoke English and the doctor giving me the really important "here's what you did and how we're going to treat you" did not speak any English. I had to insist (in my best elementary Italian) that I was not leaving until Dr. Giannelli spoke with me to make sure I understood everything that was happening, and all of my instructions. Luckily, he was very friendly, courteous, and thorough. He willingly answered all of my questions, and scheduled a time for my follow up visit a week later so that he could write my doctors note IN ENGLISH, which turned out to be a requirement of Lufthansa allowing me to fly home! It's scary to have a medical emergency in a foreign country and it is nice that there are people like Dr. Giannelli who make things a little easier.
