This place is horror, especially if you are a foreigner. My father had to be admitted while we were on vacation there and I was not able to get him on the phone because after I got laughed at for asking to speak to somebody in English, Spanish, German, or French, they told me (in italian) that I needed to come in person. Staff inside was again uninterested in finding me a person capable of speaking anything beyond Italian (this is in a tourist city that probably has more foreigners there in the summer than Italians) to tell me about his condition, treatment, or release. My father had been there all day, laying in a room with 10 other people without blanket, without anybody communicating with him in a language he could understand.
