By beaches Drøbak is worth mentioning: Waterpark, Parr beach, Torkild Beach and Skiphelle. It is also known as elf village and has a significant tourism. The town has many picturesque old houses. Many of them are living trailers from the late 1600s onwards. The many art galleries , boutiques and exhibitions attract many visitors to the city during the summer. Then square and especially the beach full of people. The city also has Santa's post office. By The park is Drøbak church , called the Church of Our Saviour, which was inaugurated on 29th October 1776 . The church is inspired by the Church of Our Saviour in Christiania, the current Oslo Cathedral . The church is architecturally quite an attraction. Rococo in wood. Get these churches remain. This is by my most memorable and favorite location in Oslo. In order to get to this town, you must take a ferry/boat. We took the boat located in Aker Brygge. Pricing reasonable and on the way to Drobak, you go to through small fjords, view beautiful boats and homes in the areas and many more. A must visit.

Take a walk on the property and just soak in the nature while at it. There are horses and cows here as well. Fun for adults and kids. I really enjoyed the guided tour through the house, however don't expect a gigantic mansion like the ones you find abroad. This is Norway, and we used to be a poor country before the oil was found in 1969. While in the area, there is a country store 5 minutes even further down the road. So scenic and far from the urban city life. Yet, still in Oslo.

Delicious roast beef, Reke (prawns) and bagettes. But leave room for the amazing cakes. Leading up to Christmas the farm hosts a typical christmas fare. Lots of warm food and handcrafts to buy and the best Gløgg i have ever had. Ask the wonderful ladies serving if you can try the "special" one. They make one for the kids without alchohol...and one for us!! :)
