Oaky everybody listen up! I moved to Henderson in 2021 and when we bought our house we also bought the wicker furniture that was on the patio because it was a perfect fit. The wicker was in great shape but the cushion's were a little dated and needed to be replaced. That's when I met Oscar through a recommendations from a friend. Brought my beat-up seat of a desk chair that I used through college and now doctorate program (6years total) to Oscar and it was a great decision. Oscar explained the types of materials he thinks should be used, how he wants to do it, and how the seat should feel afterward. I'm sitting on it right now and the cushion gives my lower back the support it needs to sit and study. When you study 10-12hrs a day, a chair is essential to prevent chronic pain. The sectional I *really* wanted cost over $3,000 and the furniture store couldn't deliver it for 8 weeks. I needed it in 4. So I found the exact same sectional, that was used, but still in great shape. The cushions, however, were just sad and beat up and ugly. I spent too many hours online researching about upholstery and now I know A LOT about fabrics and foam. haha. I'd never upholstered anything in my life. At first I was going to buy new fabric cushions online, but that would still take 3-4 weeks and I was running out of time. Plus I didn't trust fabric I couldn't touch/see in person, nor was I comfortable with my measuring skillz. The sectional is huge and from my research I knew it'd be pricey. I went on yelp. I found one place, but the fabric was just OK, not what I wanted, and the guy was kinda rude. Another place I went to, the price was eye-popping. o.O I was ready to give up. I found Oscar's Upholstery on here, which had fewer reviews than the rest, but were all 5 star. I was frustrated with the whole process by then, but wanted to get out of the office. Since his locale is close to my work I went up to see what he could offer. First off, he greeted me with a smile and shook my hand even as I waltzed in telling him what I needed without taking a breath. Immediately, to my shock, he had the exact fabric I was looking for. Then I held my breath for the price. My day got better! It was more than reasonable and way more my price range!!! He had it done in a week (all 8 of the back cushions and the HUGE 4 seat cushions). He also had me bring in my old cushions so he could stuff them for me. :D I can't express how relieved I am to have found Oscar. He did amazing work so fast and I'm ecstatic with the results!! I love his work! The first time we visited Oscar was when I wanted to fix my dads rocking chair. It belonged to his grandfather and was missing the entire seat. Oscar has a ton of fabrics to pick from. He's super patient too. I had to look at a lot because I wanted this to be perfect for my dad. We picked it up and it looked wonderful. I was able to surprise my dad for Christmas and he LOVES it. The next time I visited his place was when I purchased a church pew/ bench. It was a dark navy color. The fabric was nice but it really just didn't go with our home. When we dropped it off. Again he helped pick fabric. He also warned us he had a lot of work and it was going to be a few weeks out. I had Oscar make an ottoman from scratch and redo two sofas from Living Spaces. When I received the sofas from living spaces, the design was great, but I didn't realize how cheap the fabric was. I am always skeptical of doing business in this town because I've been scammed in the past. As a senior citizen I must be more careful than those who have unlimited income. After checking out all Craigslist listings of people who advertised as doing reupholstery, Oscar was the only one that had verifiable credentials. His ad listed his shop's address with a map showing the exact location. He does not work out of a garage at a house somewhere. Oscar is a very kind and caring man. Although I had bought my own fabric 9 months earlier, he agreed to take my job and quoted a price for labor only. The written estimate (on his company's preprinted paperwork) included both pickup and delivery. The quote was very fair, and although I wasn't financially able to do the job when he originally quoted several months before, he honored the price once I had saved up enough money to have the job done. The results were amazing. My furniture is about 20 years old, but it was of good quality and I could never afford to replace it at today's prices. I knew it was worth saving. When the upholstery job was completed, it was like I had brand new furniture at a fraction of the price Oscar and his staff do beautiful work whether it be home furniture or automobile upholstery. I highly recommend this shop and will not hesitate to use his services again and refer anyone I know that needs this service. I had been looking for an upholsterer for quite awhile that did beautiful work and was priced reasonably. I decided to go on yelp, picked some people out and started calling and sending pictures of our 26 year old high end sofas that I knew had better bones then anything I looked at other then Restoration Hardware which I posted below and a beautiful sofa I found online in a house in Spain which would have cost us up to $10,000 for 2 sofas. They all responded with estimates from my pictures. Oscar was the first one I called but it sounded to good to be true so I made more calls. After visiting a couple of them I decided to call Oscar back and he was confident he would do a beautiful job and boy did he. He picked up my sofa and at that time, had it done in a week to be ready for the holidays. He then delivered the one sofa and it was so beautiful I decided to get the other one done rather then get rid of it. He even called me during the process and said if I wanted I could come down and take a look to make sure it was turning out as I envisioned. Oscar is a professional and perfectionist, he's an artist in his craft. He also testified them so that they were restored back to perfect like new. He's deep in north Las Vegas by an industrial area and his work is impeccable. We all love our newly refurbished and so comfortable sofas that we purchased 26 years ago. They were the first piece of good quality furniture my husband and I purchased. Thank you Oscar and I'm due to come back for some more projects. We had 3 leather dining chairs, a leather bench, 3 leather bar stools and the top of our leather couch that all had damage from our cats clawing on them. He picked up all the pieces from my house and delivered them back to my house in no time at all. Oscar fixed everything listed above, he also put extra stuffing in our couch cushions and fixed the zippers that attach the cushions to our couch.
