This Farmhouse has two farmhouse Restaurants which is open Tuesday -Saturday, from 6.30pm onwards . closed sunday and Monday. It serves gorgouse home made, , traditional fresh seasonal produce. It does not have a drinks Licence so its a bring your own bottle, with no corkage charges. The restaurants have been running for more than 35 years, one seats 25 ppl, and the other 40 ppl. Dinner costs £26. for a spectacular 4 course dinner, with coffee and petit fours afterwards. Please see below Sept menu taken from their website. The portion sizes are very big to say the least, as well as mouth wattering tasty. The desert table is Heaven for sweet Lovers like myself, there is usually at least 6 different deserts, which you just go and help yourself as often as you like, all home made, same as everything else. They also do Bed & Breakfast. This Farmhouse is very popular, and we would recommend booking in advance, as its always busy. Its set in the Ayrshire countryside, and has ample parking outside the farmhouse. The staff are all lovely and once you arrive, you are shown in to a lovely living room to look at the menus and decide what you are going for, before being taken through to one of the two restaurants. The owner/cook always comes and speaks to her guests before they all leave. This place is a treat to come to all year thru, but its especially beautiful at the Festive season. Go give it a try, we can promise it will be a first of many visits there on after. The Salt Cot seems to be the main watering hole of Saltcoats locals - there was a queue for the bar…read moreat 3 on a Friday afternoon! But I don't blame people for wanting to treat themselves to an end of the week drink or two. This is a Wetherspoons pub, and like most pubs from this chain it lacks background music or ambience. What it lacks for in atmosphere is made up for in value for money - it's between two and three pounds for a vast number of beers and spirits, including bottled drinks like Magners and fancy ales. There's a wide variety of the latter, including Moondance, ale staple Deuchars, and some Newcastle Brown in a bottle. They also do the usual brand of cheap Wetherspoon's food. Staff were helpful and refreshnigly friendly when we visited. The Wetherspoons pubs always seem to be housed in gorgeous buildings, and this is no expection - this bar has an unfathomably high ceiling, an art deco exterior and is plastered in old black and white pictures of Saltcoats and its surrounding towns. It seems to have the magnetic pulling power compared to local pubs and is pleasant to sit in with its vast space, comfy couches and bay windows. However, it is still Wetherspoons, so if you're looking for a bar with a bit more local flavour you may be as well to try other bars along the main street. Saying that, it was easy to make ourselves at home here and in an economy pub chain like this you can afford to have a few without unnecessarily breaking the bank.

There is nothing special about this venue…read more Food is of decent quality and very cheap so I guess that's a plus Beer is OK the pipes seemed a little dirty to the taste on one visit but another it seemed fine Locals of varied ages littered around the bar Nothing bad but nothing stand out, certainly nothing that will keep me from popping in again
