This hotel is a gem. It lies facing the best part of Llandudno promendae, near the pier and gardens, with easy access to the Orme and fake skiing, also a great little bob sleigh which can be quite exciting. The hotel has a sister hotel nearby which has facilities for guests at the Osbourne House, comprising swimming pool, indoor and outdoor infact, sauna, steam room, and therapy rooms, a jacuzzi, and lots of other good relaxing ideas. The accommodation this unique and mysterious hotel offers is on par with the very expensive 'THE WITCHERY' near Edinburgh castle where residents pay £1000 a night for similar suites. For an amazing 125.00 a night two people have a whole floor to themselves with sea views, coal fire, four poster beds, claw footed bath in the centre of the room, all surrounded by antique, crystal lights and chandeliers, beautiful bedding and vibrant oriental rugs. Even a visit to the toilet is an experience and is like walking into the Victorian age. Infact the whole interior is similar to the RITZ with its huge crystal glass chandeliers hanging in every room, and mahogany tables and chairs, and lush loungers. This is in no doubt the in place to be in Lladudno. The service can be slightly slow at times but they apologise and eventually get to you on busy days. My only grouch is that the food is expensive ifyou want a good meal, having to pay say 15.99 for a main course and a further 2.50- 3.50 for sides, like potatoes or broccoli. Not so bad for dinner time, but lunch can be expensive for this part of the world. The sandwiches however, do not thrill me. The first and last one I ordered came out as a cheese and ham toasty without any garnish at all. Just a square dry toasted sandwich with process cheese thinly cut and bit of processed meat. I have to say I was very disappointed with this and would not go
down the cheaper end of the menu again. I thought at least they could have brightened it up a bit with a tomato, a bit of lollo rosso, and a few purple onion bits. which would hardly cost much extra. Well, I SHALL be going to stay there though at that price. Give it a go just for a coffee. It is well worth nosying around the bathrooms, and lounges. A real archaic and beautiful place. I would give five starts for all but the sandwiches.] read more
