So most people have to stand or sit on the ground to be in the shade. Another issue is the water dispenser/faucet is outside of the park, not convenient for the hot pups. There is a small dog park next door and trails along the sidewalk too. Convenient location. We will be back when it is not so hot!

They'll need to pick up and clear the fallen trees and debris. The trails were mostly cleared for walking, and the trail bikers didn't find any problems making their rounds, but it just wasn't its prettiest. I'm confident the City of Bentonville will get to it. It's a beautiful park with plenty of potential to get back to it's typical beauty.

Most of the bicyclist are respectful. But over the last two years we've seen some real JERKS disrespect people walking through. This past Saturday was our first encounter with one of those Jerks. Pedestrians and bikers must share some of the same trails and bikers have signs that they they must yield to people walking and even notify when they are going to pass you so you're not ran over or hit by a bike. We've seen quite a few confrontations between pedestrians and bicyclist. My son and my 7 yr old niece were walking back from the bathroom as a family of 4 were walking the opposite direction were about to meet when this Moron tried to pass between them before the gap closed and hit and knock down my niece. He didn't have the patience to wait for the families to cross each other so he would have a clear path around after knocking her down he slowed down without stopping and look back and yelled "is she okay?" but didn't stop, just kept going. But then... As the JERK lay there on the ground with a bruised face, and two flat tires. I also didn't feel any concern or sympathy for him. But I still asked him if he was okay. I gave he a short lecture on karma and we left the park. Now remember not all bicyclists are that way. A lot of them are respectful and will wait or even let you know if they are ready to pass. But there are still those dumb few that don't care at all.

Yes, Arkansas is in the South and the Civil War did happen here such as the significant battle in nearby Pea Ridge. But it's the 21st century now. On a Monday evening in late Spring, the square was super busy. Pretty much every parking space taken, lots of people sitting in the square, kids running about and while the Walmart Museum is being renovated, the Spark Cafe has shifted to a food truck selling snacks and ice cream. The park has a fun playground with plenty of slides, swings, climbing toys, and so much more for kids to play on. It isn't really geared for toddlers. I let me toddler play on it, but I'm right there with her to make sure she doesn't fall or take a wrong step. Overall, it is a really fun park. They have a good variety of toys for kids to play on. I'm also a fan of the "see-saw", my friend and I played on it haha. So, kids and adults can have fun here! There is also a basketball court next to it. There are a few picnics tables too. Overall, it is a good park. I'm not a huge fan of the general area. I don't feel unsafe or anything being there, but still not a huge fan. Sometimes it also smells a little bit, I think it is something with the draining between the park and the parking lot. There is a small/medium sized parking lot right next to the playground. Overall, a fun park to bring your kids to!

It's free!…read more Three separate fenced areas, one each for large and small dogs and another that's sort of unclaimed. There is a supply of Wal-Mart bags hanging in case you need to do a little cleaning up. There are chairs and picnic tables so you don't have to stand the whole time your canine is getting some socializing and exercise. We had a great time!

There is an old cabin ruin my kids liked exploring, too! I enjoyed all of the informational signs along the way talking about the wildlife, too!Parking was easy and there were plenty of friendly dogs we got to say hi to. I'd definitely recommend a visit and I think I'll try it again come fall to see the pretty leaves.

Bentonville Portion Hack…read more When heading south on the trail, if you are too tied to climb the elevation at the Crystal Bridges Art Museum. Take the trail to the North Lawn Entrance. During business hours, you can take your bike by elevator to the N. Forest Trail. This trail will come out near the additional parking and can continue out to J Street. It is then a nice easy flat ride over on 2nd to downtown or on out J to Bike Rack Brewing and the main trail.

I've rode my bike on…read moreall parts of the trail with my longest stretch from Bentonville to Fayetteville (it was a great 30+ mile ride and I'm not sure my butt wants to do it again hahahaha). It's a beautiful trail. I mostly frequent the Bentonville and rogers part of the trail with riding my bike and walking. For bikes there are many stops along the trail with a bike "tune up" station. I've used it to pump up my tires with their air pump. The station is free to use. There are also some water fountains and seats as well. There are numerous stops to make along the entire trail for shopping, restaurants, museums, etc. You can find the trail map online so you can plan your route! There are also many convenient parking lots to park and hop on the trail. I love how this area is so bike/hike/walk friendly with all the beautiful trails.

Very small dog park located in Centerton next to the Morningside Estates subdivision, on the corner…read moreof Seba road and Keller road. When I visited on 1/31/21, the grounds were very wet and mushy and we were sinking into the ground. There was new sod laid down that was disconnected and dug into already. There's enough space for about 10 vehicles to park comfortably. There's also easy access via a soft trail next to the fenced in park. There's picnic tables next to a pond that share parking with the dog park. I would say there is enough space for 7-10 dogs at a time before it gets cramped. Overall, a welcome addition to the area. I'll check it out in the summer when the grass has grown in and more amenities have been added to the area.
