My case was incredibly difficult. I had a very bad bite, and some doctors even told me I would need jaw surgery to correct it! I am so incredibly glad that I chose Dr. Yang instead. I was in braces for just over three years, and the entire experience was fantastic. Dr. Yang is a true master at what he does and managed to fix my teeth and bite perfectly without any need for surgery. On top of his incredible skill, the service is unmatched. We paid a $40 consultation fee for the initial visit, during which X-rays and photographs of my child were taken. After the consultation, I contacted the office to request digital copies of those X-rays and photographs. I was shocked to be told that I would need to pay an additional $145 for the digital X-ray and $100 for the digital photographs--a total of $245 just to receive digital copies of the records. That is on top of the $40 consultation fee we had already paid. What concerns me most is that I do not recall being informed before the X-rays and photographs were taken that there would be an additional $245 charge if I wanted digital copies afterward. Had this been clearly communicated beforehand, it would have been important information in deciding whether to have the imaging done there. I have asked the office to provide an itemized explanation of how the $145 and $100 fees were calculated, particularly since I am only requesting the existing X-ray and photographs electronically by email--not new imaging, additional interpretation, printing, or preparation of a medical summary. As a parent, I expect transparency about fees, especially when they concern access to my child's own medical and orthodontic records. I am sharing my experience so other parents know to ask in advance not only about consultation and treatment costs, but also how much the office will charge if you later need copies of your child's X-rays, photographs, or other records.

We're really happy with the care that Dr. Joy gave my teenage son with his Invisalign treatment…read more When I did Invisalign, I did it only part of the day, and she was the only orthodontist I called who was willing to let him try wearing Invisalign only at home since teenagers are self-conscious at school. (So far, it's worked well except where it's hard to twist the smaller teeth - to do that it needs to be on most of the day.) No lost aligners! She was also willing to reorder me a set of Invisalign retainers (Vivera) based on my original Invisalign series even though I hadn't been her patient before (I did them before I moved here, but apparently a lot of orthodontists don't want to deal with things like that). Her office is clean and new, and she has the Itero and scanning equipment that's the newer version from when I did Invisalign. She's really good with teens, friendly and personable, and explains things well. Her location is also really good if you go to Woodside High school, M-A, Sacred Heart, or Menlo or other nearby schools. She's in downtown Menlo Park near University and Oak Grove (as of this writing in 2025), but her complex has its own parking. I'd absolutely recommend her.

You never feel rushed. Dr. Morrill takes notes and refers to them before your appointments - you can tell he's really on the ball. He always gives your teeth his full attention. He and his staff are always so nice, friendly and sincere. He's very experienced - he's been in practice for many years and one day a week he works at of Stanford as a consultant. Expert status! Also, he truly cares about the quality of his work and about the well being of his patients. My treatment plan was completed about 15 years ago, but recently I went back to his office to have a new retainer made. They still remembered me, asked about my mother and brother, had my file in the office, charged me nothing for the appointment and a small amount for the new retainer. I highly recommend!
