A broken finger should not take 3 weeks to fix and two days of pain pills following surgery. Two weeks later still in pain. Who cares. Perhaps some more staff would answer the phone, Maybe pretend they care. Next appointment is two weeks out Follow -up call after surgery. What's that? The whole medical system is broken in the USA. poor customer service, we understand you have a lot of patients but maybe its a matter of time management that you have to answer phone calls or voice message, we us patient we need important documents for us to get back to work. it's not all about you esp the secreraries of each clinic, don't be just on ur phone looking at some tiktok or fb. do extra miles if you have the passion of doing your job but if it's not then you are not an asset to the company. this company is very poor in customers service, doesn't consider patients who travel far, they just care about their salaries but no heart and ruthless, doesn't even know how to inject the dextrose. maybe the company must train them well or hire someone that is fitted for the job. it's a waste of time and money paying these people not even doing there job correctly read more

It's a surgery clinic for orthopedic patients. All of the local surgeons are part of this group and all have their office in the building. They have a very high volume of patients. During Covid, they are taking all precaution guidelines. I've had 4 visits over the years, the service has always been the same. There is normally a little bit of a wait before you're seen. When it's your time, you're escorted to an exam room, asked questions pertaining your visit, possibly have rays taken, and then a consult with a PAC or Physician. read more

I would rather give negative stars but it won't let me. The worst, I have been coming to orthopedics northwest for over 20 years. Since they have moved and been bought out by multicare memorial hospital. The wait times are way beyond acceptable. We waited 2 hours for a dressing change the last apportionment. This appointment we waited in line to check in with 20 other elderly and injured patients. The slowest check in I have EVER had at any dr office, and we've been to a TON of doctors. If you can avoid this place like the plage do so. read more

Really like the doctors (I have seen several and have had multiple surgeries) but the waits are getting longer. For this current appointment/referral, which is narrowing of the neck that is causing numbness and loss of strength, it has been over 5 weeks since I was seen. Their office has not processed the referral; they have one woman processing referrals for all 22 of their providers. If you need somewhat urgent care (my doctor there wanted me back within three weeks... that obviously isn't happening), go somewhere else. The comfort of their patients do not seem to be as important as it used to be. I'm headed to the west side and am being seen by two specialists who have treated other NW Orthopaedic patients. Sad. I had a total knee replacement in April of 2019 with Dr. Thomas Kennedy. In the two years following this surgery, I had nine office visits with Dr. Kennedy in which I told him that I had severe knee pain while walking up or down stairs and while walking up or down hills. These were the same complaints that led me to have knee surgery in the first place. Dr. Kennedy did not address the problem, so after two years of limping, and the associated hip and back pain, I sought an opinion from Dr. Thomas Castle at Proliance Orthopedics in Issaquah. Dr. Castle seemed to know right away what the problem was. An X-ray showed that during the original surgery, a "button" had not been placed behind my kneecap to protect it from rubbing against my femur. In June of 2021 I had revision knee surgery, a "two-component revision total knee arthoplasty" with Dr. Castle. I can now easily and painlessly navigate stairs and hills and I can go for long walks without knee pain. It is my opinion that Dr. Kennedy's skills fall far below the standard of care required of surgeons to adequately address the needs of their patients. read more

After arriving for appointment on time, having my registration completed before I walked in the door. I waited for over 40 minutes in the waiting room to be called in. In that time I witnessed at least 3 people with hand injuries get called in that had arrived much later than I. After being called up, and taken to my exam room. I was SWIFTLY evaluated and taken to x-ray before Dr. Hwang had even spoke a word to me. After dealing with gal that did my x-rays, who could have been a whole lot more polite. I was brought back to my exam room. There i waited for Dr. Hwang to evaluate me. What I got when he came in was the least to satisfaction from a care provider that I could imagine. All he could tell me was that "I'm too young to be having these issues and I need to be referred rheumatologist". To which he said he was not able to refer me to one because "we don't do referrals " - coming from a 'hand specialist'...? Ok... Couldn't point me in a direction of a specialist what so ever. He didn't even know of one in our state. The part that bugs me the most is he didn't spend a second explaining to me what he saw from my x-rays or from the 30 seconds he spent touching my hands.. Just in and out and on to the next helpless patient. I took a half a day off from work and am now paying for x-ray expense to literally be told 0 information. This will absolutely be the last time I deal with orthopedics northwest. (All similar to the service I received last year with my knee injury). read more

Yes, with the tone you're thinking. He can speak English (not the point) but he works full time and just needs to make an appointment for his surgery. My experience wasn't necessarily with a doctor or assistant, but I wanted to review the MRI staff. My wife visited Orthopedics Northwest to get a MRI and was helped by a man who did the MRI for her. He was not a very nice man and treated her more like a person with a number rather than a human being with pain. He did not help her get in and out of the machine and was not pleasant in anyway--was eager to get her out of the area and probably eager to get home himself rather than work. So when I had a scheduled MRI from Orthopedics Northwest, I was hesitant to go in because I did not want to be treated poorly as my wife was. I do not like small spaces and was afraid for my experience. To my luck, a woman named Debra helped me in the MRI and WOW was she amazing. Talked to me by name, helped me in and out of the machine, prepared me for what to expect during the process, and was pleasantly happy to help me--all on her own. SHE gives me hope for any one who may feel scared before getting a MRI. She reassured me and made me feel welcomed, like she cared. I appreciate her and her hospitality, even if it was for a short time. If you get the chance to have a MRI or image from Debra, just know you are cared for. She is the reason I would even consider returning to Orthopedics Northwest. read more

Wouldn't see me as I owed $50.00. And couldn't pay then. I am on SSI disability and will pay but couldn't pay right then. Obviously the Doctors and mangers Porsches needed repair and they needed that $50.00. Ok staff and facilities but no compassion and understanding. read more

Can't even get a timely appt with a surgeon. The Dr who had time, almost a month out isn't a shoulder specialist, turns out shoulder guy looked at my referral and turned me away...don't know of its insurance or a boring case. THEN they call 6 days prior to my appt and tell me I need to get my xrays. Um no, call and get them from my referring Dr. Don't go to Orthopedics NW, unless you want to feel less than worthy. I'm going west of the mountains...at least they WANT to treat me. Oh, and even the ER people don't like this place, or the DR I was referred to. read more

I needed a hand X-ray after a bike accident. Their urgent care clinic saw me within an hour despite not being a client/having an appointment and the staff was very friendly. They also scheduled a follow up visit -despite not needing immediate treatment, the staff wanted to just make sure it healed properly. I recommend the nightly urgent care clinic for any non-emergency trauma care! read more

Worst patient care! Waited in the exam room after X-rays had been taken for over an hour. Didn't get to see the Dr. I left very upset!

They never have any open appointments (unless you can wait 4-6 weeks) and the office staff are rude. My husband was having pain from an injury and surgery he had a few months ago from one of the doctors in their clinic and the soonest they could get him in was a week later. However, he had another appointment that was supposed to be a 6 month follow-up from the surgery that was scheduled at the end of July. We called today and they had cancelled his 6 month appointment because they aren't supposed to have 2 appointments scheduled for one person. They obviously don't care about their patients. They didn't tell us this when we made the first appointment and then when he called back to get his appointment time back they said they didn't have anything else available. Then the lady he was talking to proceeded to hang up on him. Horrible customer service. It's a shame because they have some good doctors but the office staff are terrible. read more

I had 4 different issues with my left shoulder that required surgery. 2wks after I had my post op appointment and was scheduled to return to work. I was still unable to drive, I requested another week from work. When I returned to work on Monday, by lunch time I was in severe pain. Close to end of day I contacted their office to request modification with work schedule, employer requires medical note, and informed of severe pain. I was informed doctor on vacation, only a doctor could provide and a doctor not available until Thursday. Next day continued to have severe pain, went to their office, receptionist called doctors assistant who informed receptionist to repeat what was said day before and take Tylenol for pain. Mind you, I am driving 30 miles to and from work with one hand while in severe pain, plus very limited movement with my left arm, which is in a sling and I was only requesting to modify my work schedule, no mention of any medications. With being a medical facility, why no doctor available until 3 days later? I left their office feeling hopeless and as if didn't matter, their statement about caring for their patients is questionable... read more

Dr. Cheng did my neurosurgery, and is a massive failure of a Doctor. Not only did his (PA) assistant flippantly argue with me the 3 times I had followups after surgery, but his Secretary Susan lied three times about why she wouldn't return my call, to the point I took it to her supervisor who also never followed up. The three times after surgery you'd think the Doctor would come to talk to me but every time he sent his (PA). His PA started yelling at me the last time I was there and told me I was trying to manipulate him into saying something he shouldn't, and was trying to back him into a corner with hypothetical questions regarding what they could do for the fused discs in my lower spine, which they refused to treat because they wouldn't move on from my neck, it was complete circular logic, the PA was an irrational and aggressive imbecile, and couldn't even answer basic questions because he apparently had not even seen my MRI, according to his own words, on my last visit there. After yelling at me, telling me "he would get me an actual appointment with the doctor alright", the slamming the door behind him. Another rude woman came in, took notes on my side of it, then walked me into another room to talk to their administrator... who seriously appears to have some sort of functional retardation (maybe down syndrome?) I was then told I was banned from their clinic and all their providers (them being the only place in Yakima who accepts Government Health Care Plans). I am now faced with going 45 minutes in each direction to the next nearest neurosurgery provider, and have lost partial use of my right hand since the surgery. Prey to God you don't get stuck going here because I may now be permanently handicapped as a direct result of their Malpractice. But of course they make you sign waivers before he cuts you up, just so you can't sue them out of business. Beware of this absolutely and unbelievably horrible establishment. I am going to try and make this as brief as possible... I took my daughter into the ER Monday night about 9:00 pm with a broken arm. Dr. Longo was the ortho doc on call from Orthopedics Northwest. We got right in, had X-ray done (RAD TECH WAS AMAZING), saw a nurse practitioner, they put a soft cast/splint on, gave prescription for hydrocodone, said we needed to follow up with Dr. Longo in the morning... knowing all the horror stories of Orthopedics Northwest I ask to have the follow up done at Seattle Children's... nurse practitioner fought with me on this for a short while, I refused orthopedics northwest! She finally obliged and asked another attending doctor if she could do this. That Doctor said yes that it was a compound fracture and it looks as though the growth plate is affected. I get a call from Orthopedics Northwest at 9:30 am the next morning with an urgent nurse on the line saying my daughter needs to get in to see Dr. Longo before 10:00 am as the fracture needs to be reduced. To my shock I have never heard of such a thing nor did the emergency room tell me of any of this... I simply asked what that meant and why it was so urgent... no answer because she is not allowed to tell me what this procedure is because she is not medically trained to do so! I said I needed to call childrens as this was who my referral was for. 10 mins later I have not been able to get a nurse yet with children's to tell me what this reduction is. Dr. Longos assistant is now calling me again and telling me the urgency of this to be done is high and that I needed to come in right now. I said I am waiting to hear back from childrens first. We hang up, 5 mins later she calls and said the doctor is leaving soon and I needed to bring my daughter in right away! Children's calling now as I am on the phone with her and I answer the call. Children's hospital had a nurse and trauma ortho doctor on the phone with me as they were looking at my daughters x rays and they were concerned as to why this fracture wasn't reduced at the hospital last night and why the doctor was going to do this in his clinic without sedation! They said I needed to bring her to the emergency room there in Seattle and they would do the reduction as too much time has passed now and there could be complications! Come to find out Dr. Longo should have came in to the ER and taken care of this, however I am glad he did not as he specializes in hips and knees! My advice is if possible drive to Seattle for children care, Orthopedics Northwest is a joke and they will cause more harm than good! read more

Called ahead of time & explained I was a pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle more than 2 weeks ago and am unable to put weight on my leg, from my knee down is purple & swollen & I have stabbing pains. We are brand new to WA & our pcp we were going to use is out of town. Jennifer from scheduling told me it'd be best to come in to the Urgent Care from 5pm-8pm. Got there & was told they refused to let me see a Dr since I'd already had care for my leg. Someone needs to figure out your companies policy & the other person needs to apologize. read more

I feel Dr Wagner has an issue with either Situational Awareness, or Ethics. I had a surgery planned. A week before the surgery I was hospitalized in observation with no definitive cause. I kept their office posted the whole time on findings. The day before the surgery I made all arrangements with hospital and had spoken to staff and was led to believe it was a go. In preop appointment that same day, dr Wagner said he didn't want to proceed this close to the previous hospitalization due to increased risk. I understand this logic completely, but do not understand why this could not have been told over phone and not have to deal with all the scheduling of something that was not going to happen. I brought no new information that day, and feel like they either did not listen to me when I addressed concerns about hospitalization when it happened hence them not being aware of the situation despite me stating it. Or there ethics are poor enough to let a person on disability while gets $50 a month of unspoken for funds spend $60 on gas to drive to Portland just so they can charge Medicare for time.. I will be getting a referral to OHSU who has always treated me right. I wish I'd had known they did this procedure before wasting my time and money with Dr Wagner. read more
