I saw Dr. Summer's at Yakima Foot and Ankle today. I was able to get in quickly. The front desk girl was very nice and also thorough. I would make sure you have called your insurance to see what your co-pay or out of pocket will be. Fortunately I knew I had reached mine and had a zero co-pay. My wait was minimal after completing my paperwork. The doctors MA great as well. The doctor was able to diagnose my foot issues and make a plan that worked for me. I would recommend Dr. Summers and his staff 100% based on my first appointment. read more

I went there once. The dr was super nice But the Bill for it was as not. I was charged $247.46 for an ankle brace that doesn't even fit me I've worn it twice and isn't returnable . They definitely should be telling people what they cost and not just assume everyone can afford that. If I would have known I definitely wouldn't have taken it . read more

Never allow a podiatrist to perform surgery on your feet. Always go to an orthopedic surgeon. We learned this the hard way. My wife had Dr Stuart Cardon perform a corrective surgery on her feet in 2017 and 2018. After five surgeries, (three to correct mistakes he made), she has been left crippled and in terrible pain. Though Dr Cardon exudes confidence, he lacks the necessary skills to be successful and the patient sufferers the consequences. A little over a year and a half ago, Shawn Summers performed a bunionectomy and mid foot fusion to correct my foot. He did such a good job, he had to do it twice... After the second major surgery, recovery, and weeks of physical therapy I can confidently say that I am no better off than when I went into his office the first time. In fact, I might be worse off. Because now I have joint in my foot that doesn't bend and I am pretty sure is in the wrong spot again. Sean never watched me walk once, didn't hesitate an instant before jumping to surgery, and failed to consider me as a patient different from the average patient he sees. Which I most certainly am in size, activity, and bone density. In other words, he missed a few key aspects of his professional duty. I still can't run without pain. I still can't hike with my family. This place is horrible! I went because I was having heel and arch pain and the doctor was pushing so hard on the area on pain I was crying from so much pain. And then proceed to tell me I need to just stretch my foot which I've been doing for over a year! And then want me to buy 300+ dollar insoles that of course aren't going to work because I've tried them already! And when I tried to say something to the doctor he would just talk over me! scheduled an appointment with the office to have a personalized shoe insert made a week ago. At the time of scheduling, it was discussed that the appointment needed to be done before the first of the year to cover the inserts due to the insurance deductable being met. After talking with 3 different people, it was agreed that it could be done and an appointment was made. The scheduled appointment was made for the appointment, casting and insert. Showed to appointment early with the intent of paying the required down payment. The office staff then proceeded to inform me that the billing for the appointment, casting and insert would not be done for 4 weeks. Therefore, the new insurance year would start over and none of the days services would be covered, but applied to the new deductable. Terrible service from front office staff. Frustrated that today's appointment was discussed a week ago and mutually agreed. Front office staff tried to blame the Medical Assistants reporting that they didn't know what they were doing or talking about. Will find another office who has better customer service and integrity to own up to their own mistakes. read more
