I recently had an appointment for my knees that need replacing. I have been going to South Bend…read moreorthopedics, they don't accept my insurance so I switched to the in St. Joseph MI. The treatment plans in St. Joseph is extremely antiquated! The tiny mosquito bite "cortisone" shots given are absolutely worthless. It's like I never had shots. It's like they're practicing medicine from 50 years ago. I would never recommend going there. They also did my meniscus tear 7 years ago and I could barely tell I had surgery. I will never go back here ever! I will gladly pay the $1,000 that it costs to go to South Bend orthopedics for office call and shots in both knees so I can walk. In 16 months I will be on Medicare, If it still exists so I can have my knee replacements. I can't believe ST. Joseph orthopedics and spots medicine can even claim they do sports medicine they are a joke. Like everything COREWELL is. Healthcare in Berrien Co. MI with Corewell is a joke!!! I would not take my dog there. If I could give a zero I would.

Everyone else was being called back before my mom and they came in after she did. She had PT scheduled for an hour after this appointment and she had to reschedule because the doctor was seeing er f/u visits before scheduled patients is what the receptionist said. Unacceptable. I get that those are important, however she should have been brought back and seen in between at least or someone should have explained this to us beforehand so we could have called the pt specialist and changed her appointment. Also, supposedly no one showed my dad how to take the orthotic brace off and she was not able to let her arm breath, skin integrity is awful. Her brace was so tight on her arm it wouldn't even come off correctly. Also, the wheel chair in the facility was not the best condition. The handle kept coming off and needs replaced. No communication from the receptionist just oh I need to move you out of the way. I would give 0 stars if I could.
