Went to see one doctor. Was starting to give me a shot in my knee and said my problem was because of arthritis. I complained and ask if that would be able to make me lift my leg. Ooops. Nope. Need to get you an MRI. BUT. You must pay for this visit first. Okay. Paid. BTW. Injured October 30. Went to Ortho October 31. Managed to get MRI second week in November. You need surgery. Okay. Earliest date November 30. Took paperwork for leave of absence. Put me down to return on Jan 5. I had suggested the 15th. Anyway. Paid 30.00 for them to do the LOA through ShsreCare. Their service. They do not do that kind of thing at the office. Contacted my ST disability. They contacted Doctor. Two dsys before being declined because they had not heard, I contacted them and they re contacted ortho. Okay. They will send it but we need you to pay your last bill plus the 15.00 for continuation of this event. Done. Oh. And you need to pay our doctor's fee of the surgery before the surgery and before your insurance even considers it or no surgery. Okay. Paid. Surgery performed. Put me in a straight cast that fell on the second day after surgery. I ended up with a fairly large open wound on my ankle when they took it off three weeks later. this is after a visit to the hospital because they had to crack it because it was cutting off my circulation and a visit to ortho to cut off the bottom of the cast. But if fell more still causing pain. Finally at the end of December I had to get them to extend my leave until the 22nd of January and put down to release me with restrictions. Okay. Had to pay for visit and for the extension papers. Contacted by office. Too vague for return on 22nd. Need more info. Return to ortho with paper asking for what my company requested. Paid again. Office called. They received the exact same info as before no clarifications. But, they saw where I had asked for the info, they had included a copy of my request for the doctor when they sent the paperwork. They also accepted I go from my physical therapist in Jefferson. Not Ortho's people and I am able to return to work on the 22nd with no thanks to Ortho. I will NEVER use OrthoCarolina for anything ever again read more
