You can tell the love he had for the art but the past 6 years all this man thinks about is money. Money hungry all the time. He has disrespected my family and I multiple times because when I have a comment about my prosthesis and I tell him in a professional manner and he does not like it, he gets upset ,starts yelling and says so many unkind remarks. He has said multiple times that I have to deal with what i have because my insurance doesn't pay him enough to even do the job, like if he was doing me a favor. He chose to pick that insurance and agreed to the terms , then why does the patient have to pay the consequences. It's hard as it is to be an amputee and you try to be as "normal" as possible and he just makes you feel worthless. He makes patients fell devalued because if you don't have the money he wants, you don't deserve the same treatment as others. I'm not the first patient he has done this too and those patients left the practice and never came back. I have had patience with him and just simply have brushed off all his comments because of the years I have been going to his practice , but after today that my mother called the office because I couldn't at the moment and made her cry due to his unprofessional comments then hung up the phone on her, I decided to speak up and give a review on how this man should not have this type of business that deals with peoples emotions, insecurities, and vulnerability. I myself am in the healthcare field and I have always been taught to treat patients as if they are your own family, care for them because they don't choose their current conditions and have empathy. This man has non of those qualities! So I don't recommend this place if you want to get any orthotics or prosthetics because you will never get quality care.

Had an easy appointment with Melissa Huse and the very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and received this amazing brace about 2 weeks ago. I am past happy with it, and am back to playing golf 2-3 times a week, minus the fatigue I suffered with the old AFO. Fishing with my Grandsons has become a marathon each weekend, where before I was too tired to take them out on the boat for an appreciable amount of time. This has changed my level of activities tremendously. Melissa is extremely well-versed in any needs of each patient, and I am very impressed. Do NOT use the Palm Springs, FL Hanger Clinic. There are many other Hanger Clinic locations that…read moreare a lot more ethical than this one in Palm Springs, Florida. First, they charged me $25 to replace a strap on my AFO, as the velcro was no longer sticking - a 60 second task, and even though I was ordering my new AFO through them. I didn't argue, and paid their requested fee. NOTE: Both the Hanger Clinics in NYC AND in Gainesville replaced the strap for me at NO CHARGE throughout the years. That should have been my first clue not to use this location for my replacement AFO. Fast forward, my new plastic AFO was ready for pick up. They used cloth straps, a much less durable strap than the leather I had on my original AFO - perhaps so they can keep collecting their $25 fees every time these straps go bad. They received $1,500 from my insurance company - after lying about the type of AFO and all the additions - they claim to have included with the brace, but didn't. And in spite of the fact that they received $1,500 from my insurance company, they are charging me an ADDITIONAL $170!!! This is after 1) I was told the AFO was covered by my insurance and 2) I spoke with someone in the office a couple of months ago when I received the first bill, who assured me that the additional charge was an error and that it was going to be taken care of. Please note the location of positive reviews aren't for the Palm Springs, FL location - all Hanger Clinic locations are not created equal.
