We had an outstanding experience at Ortho Mattress in Oceanside and Cam made the entire process easy and enjoyable. He was friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and never made us feel pressured. We needed to buy a mattress and pick it up the same day. We already had a good idea of what we wanted, and Cam took the time to answer our questions, offered a few great options, and helped us take advantage of the fantastic Fourth of July sale. What really stood out was his follow-through. Even though a couple of the items ended up being slightly different than originally expected, Cam did exactly what he said he would. We had mentioned we'd be back before the sale ended, and when we returned, he already had the items we were most interested in ready for pickup. It's rare to find customer service that's this attentive and reliable. Cam went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly, and we truly appreciated it. We highly recommend both Cam and Ortho Mattress! read more

Great service was fast and easy...Craig was friendly and made us feel comfortable the whole time and we enjoyed our time.

Hubby and I had been "planning" on getting a new mattress for a while. On a whim we decided to check out ortho mattress. We were helped by Robert. He made process of narrowing down from the sea of choices very easy, straightforward and smart. First we laid on a few to determine preferred firmness. Then we tried regular, memory foams and hybrid. Robert was very knowledgeable about every aspect of mattresses as well as why certain features would be beneficial for my husbands back problems. We did end up purchasing that day. Robert made us aware of the holiday sale and gave us a great deal. I recommend ortho mattress because it seems that they really stand behind their product. Robert was pleasant and not pushy. Their brand has greAt pillows and mattress protectors which we also got. I don't know if you can beat orthos warranty. The mattress protector has a 10 year warranty and if it is taken care of but doesn't protect as advertised they will even clean your mattress. The mattress has a 100 night comfort Guarantee which is exactly what I was hoping for. My husband has wanted a new mattress for at least 5 years and I was worried about spending so much money in something we could only test for a few minutes. Within 100 days you can return for a different firmness or other mattress for the same or higher price with your full purchase amount as a credit, just pay reasonable delivery charge. The mattress also has a 25 year warranty as long as it has no stains, which it won't if you have the mattress protector. Delivery window was texted the night before 11-3. They called at 2 and said they were 30 mins away. Arrived on time. So far bed is fine, a bit firm for me but that's to be expected. We will most likely keep this one read more

The old dude in there constantly interrupts when politely decline help and then has an outburst to have to correct you when just sayintyou want to look at lifting beds. Stay away and overpriced. read more

Justin was super helpful and knowledgeable! Very honest and helped guide us to the right mattress for us.

Our 11 yr. old pillow top had been uncomfortable to sleep on the last 1-2 yrs, so we decided it was finally time for a new one. After researching mattresses we decided to try Ortho Mattress. This past Saturday I walked into an immaculate store and was greeted by a very friendly Robert- the store manager. I explained what I was looking for and brought the label from our old Sealy mattress. He impressed me because he knew exactly what I wanted. Robert is very knowledgeable and only showed me mattresses within the scope of my interest. He explained everything about the mattress and was able to help me differentiate the quality of 2 mattresses I tried and liked. He was able to set up delivery 3 days later. The following day I went back to the store with my husband to be sure it was the best choice. We were greeted by Justin-the regional manager. Again great customer service! Justin was also very friendly and knowledgeable . I knew we were in good hands. Tonight our mattress was delivered within the time frame I was texted yesterday by 2 professionals. They took the old mattress out and delivered the new one quickly . Can't wait to try it tonight, more to follow. read more

I woke up with another backache and decided it was time to go mattress shopping. I went to Ortho where there is a vast selection. I realized I had no idea where to start and that is when Robert came to my assistance. I told him my price range and he started showing me options. It only took until #3 for me to know that I had found the right one. Robert was knowledgeable and patient. He made shopping for what I wanted so easy. The pickup of my old mattress and delivery of the new one was just as Robert described. It was smooth and right on time. Who would have guessed how easy it can be to get a new mattress!! I came to check out the mattresses and Robert came to help me right away. He listened to what my price range was and what my concerns were. He was patient and very informative. He truly cares about his work and did a great job helping me! Thanks Robert! I usually am skeptical of salesman and he helped me through the process. I ended up putting a foam topper on new bed, but he did warn me it would be firm to start since it is new and not broken in like the floor mattress. It is perfect now and think it will last a long time. read more

I recently purchased a mattress from Ortho and have been very pleased with it. Robert, the Manager, was very pleasant and helpful in my choice. As I have not purchased a mattress in several years, he let me try several different mattresses until I found the one that I wanted. He had unbelievable patience with me. I didn't realize there were so many mattresses to choose from. Anyway I would highly recommend Ortho Mattress. Don't forget to ask for Robert. You'll be glad you did. read more

Very pleasant experience at Ortho Mattress. Our sales rep, Robert, was friendly, professional and very informative. He was able to work with our budget and get us what we wanted. They provided next day delivery and the guys were professional and were quick to get the old ones out and new ones in. Their communication throughout the delivery process was amazing, received a text in the morning with a time frame later in the evening and they called 45 minutes before arriving. They are very accommodating considering I made a mistake on the box spring height but they exchanged them the very next day. Loved working with them and would recommend! read more

Our house is in the LA area but we were staying in Oceanside while the house was being remodeled. We went in this Ortho mattress store to shop for a new mattress NOT to buy (since we live so far away). They sucks. The person who help us is Bruce. All they care about is money, not customer service. We ordered a mattress and the 9" bed board. We was not realize that after set everything with the bed frame, it will be really high. The delivery guys came to the house around 6:30pm, after set up everything it is almost 7:00. The rush is to get a signature to leave. We look at the time, it been late, so we decided to call they back for exchange the next day. We called Bruce today, what he said is he can not do exchange but he can sell us bunkey board with another delivery fees. One day after the delivery, they refuse to do anything. They just want you to buy more, but what are we going to do with the extra bed board? They do not care at all! We never going to come back! Do not go there, you worth somewhere that have better customer services. read more

Read this review through if you plan on buying a mattress from Ortho. It will save you time, money, and aggravation. I would have given "0" Stars if I could. My wife has been trying to buy a new full-sized mattress on-line for many months now. After several disappointing attempts with 3 different companies, (all had a 100% free exchange and/or refund if not happy with purchase with free delivery) she decided to go to a Mattress store. She went to Ortho Mattress which quickly turned into a nightmare. She purchased a full-sized mattress for over $1,000. A standard, full-size mattress measures 72" x 54". After sleeping on it she felt like she was rolling off the side of the bed. She discovered the "standard" bed Ortho delivered was 2" short on the sides (72"x52"). The mattress did not fully fill the bedframe for a full-size mattress. When she called to tell Robert, Ortho's sales manager at Oceanside store, about the defect he referred us to Customer Service. After my wife called, she was very unhappy with how the Customer Service Representative, who was also the manager, treated her. Linda told her there is nothing wrong with the mattress and there was nothing she could do about it. She told my wife she would have to live with it. This is when I got involved. I spoke to Linda, and she was very rude. I explained the mattress was not standard sized and she argued there was nothing that could be done and "they" allowed for such anomalies. When I insisted that 2" difference makes this mattress non-standard, she still argued but agreed to send an inspector. 2 weeks later the inspector arrived and found it was 2" short and told us someone would call from customer service. Well, Linda called and said that yes, the mattress was 2" short of standard, but it was an acceptable error since the mattress was made by hand. Incredible! Linda went on to say if it's a matter of comfort, and it's within the 100-day window of purchase, we could return it for a store credit towards the purchase of a new mattress. That was acceptable to us except it would cost us $100 for pickup of the defective mattress and delivery of the new mattress. Unbelievable! If you know what's good for you don't buy a mattress or any products from Ortho unless you check your product thoroughly. They are an inferior company, with terrible customer relations policies. There are too many reputable companies out there to settle on a third-class entity. UPDATE: I wrote a scathing review on BBB and was contacted by Linda, the rude Ortho customer service manager. She said if we took down the review on BBB they would replace our mattress w/o the $100 delivery charge. We rec'd the mattress 2 weeks later but with respect to other hapless buyers I am leaving my BBB review and adding this one on Yelp to warn all potential buyers off this company. They are not reputable and have bad customer relations. I'm not sure how they rec'd complimentary reviews in the past but not from me or my wife. read more

I am writing this review while laying on my new bed! This place made our purchase super easy and pleasant, and Bruce was very helpful and friendly. We came into the store last weekend looking around and price searching for a new mattress that we so desperately needed. But when we saw all the awesome deals they were offering on their Ortho brand, we could not pass it up! No sales tax, buy one get one free foam pillows, military discount, free delivery, discount on their full mattress cover, one year trade in guarantee, and lifetime warranty on the mattress.... and on top of that their foam mattress was thousands less than a Temperpedic! We got EVERYTHING for a KING mattress for less than 2k out the door! For a king foam bed, that is a really good price... THANK YOU BRUCE! You made this large purchase an easy one for our family! read more

Just learned that our salesman at another store was just promoted to Manager at this one- AM DELIGHTED & Congratulations - Bill - your customers will have the best!! we bought our bed in April 2014 and we are STILL in love with it!!- if i could give 6 stars i would! ************************************* May 2014- Just got our bed delivered and set up and LOVE IT (its one of those Reverie 3E split adjustable base ones with the Danwood mattresses- (i think i have the names right)- When we went to the store (that a friend had recommended) we had a fairly good idea of what we wanted and our price limit. Bill, our salesman, asked all kinds of pertinent questions and then showed us the stock in the store - he answered ALL the questions we could think of and told us details on each type & size of mattresses that they had. if he didnt know an answer he quickly found it. we were impressed with both his knowledge, friendliness and caring about the product & that we got what we needed. While not the cheapest bed we looked at (believe me we looked at cheap ones elsewhere) it was a Very GOOD price for the Quality! and not the most expensive bed we looked at either! I for one Never felt bullied into buying more than i wanted or could afford the way some stores try to do. Bill was able to make the purchase & delivery arraingements speedily & without any 'issues' - i must say we were delighted with our experience. if/when we buy any other beds we will ask for him again. also as to the Delivery Experience - the company called the day before to confirm as they had promised and the two gentlemen who made the delivery called an hour before they arrived again as promised - they were also awesome. we were told to expect a 4hr window for the delivery (sometime between 12-4) & considering we were having wind problems in our area, imagine my delight when they arrived at 1230! they came in took the old bed out, brought the new one in and set it up and showed my how to operate the controls - quick, easy and painless. wish all my purchases always went this well! read more

We bought a bed frame, found out we didn't need it, took it back to the store, they said their store cannot take returned items under $500, so we are now stuck with $99 bed frame that we cannot return, BEWARE OF THE FINE PRINT (which the store clerk was quick to point out upon our return). read more

Oct 2021. I had been using my Mom's old bed for 20 years that must have been at least 35 years old. Now that I'm a grown up, I decided maybe I should get a new bed. (I'm 71). Last bed I'm going to need. I shopped online and in mattress stores. The selection and types of mattresses is overwhelming. I stopped in the Ortho Mattress store on El Camino Real Oceanside and met the manager Robert Gunn. He took a lot of time with me. Not rushed and payed attention to my comments. I felt like he actually cared about my well being. Very patient. I left and did more research and came back on the bed we had settled on. Purchase with 0% financing made it easy and painless. It was just delivered and I think I'm going to be very happy. I have 100 nights to decide. It took me a long time to make this decision. Robert made it easy and this mattress feels really nice in my bedroom. read more

I was shopping for a new mattress. I decided to shop at three separate stores and do my due diligence. My daughter and I went into Ortho Mattress first, just to check things out. We were met by the manager, Robert. He was very nice with a great personality. He asked me a few questions as to what I was looking for in a bed or mattress. He explained in detail the differences in the various mattresses. He had me try them all; it really was an education. It was a nice experience with no pressure from Robert whatsoever. I never made it to another store. I purchased a new bed with a wonderful mattress. My bed was delivered in a few days. The delivery guys were courteous & setup was quickly completed. My wife and I had previously bought a cheap mattress from a big name retailer and were not happy with it. We decided to stop in to this location to see if any of their mattresses would work for us. We were met by Robert, who was the nicest guy. We told him the issues we had with our previous mattress and the price we were willing to spend on a new one. He was so knowledgeable on his products and was quickly able to find us the perfect mattress for our needs. This man was the nicest salesman I had ever met. He genuinely cared about the customers. He would get to know your names and what your hobbies were. We told him that we would be back in a week to purchase the mattress due to us needing to return our current one. He was about to calculate the total cost were would pay and even gave us a discount. We came back the following week and he still remembered our names. This made me feel very welcomed and made it seem like we were not just another number to them. The mattress was delivered with no issues and was fast and professional. This was such a pleasant experience and I will most definitely be a repeat customer to this company. Thank you Robert for your kindness and extreme professionalism. read more
