He made process of narrowing down from the sea of choices very easy, straightforward and smart. First we laid on a few to determine preferred firmness. Then we tried regular, memory foams and hybrid. Robert was very knowledgeable about every aspect of mattresses as well as why certain features would be beneficial for my husbands back problems. We did end up purchasing that day. Robert made us aware of the holiday sale and gave us a great deal. I recommend ortho mattress because it seems that they really stand behind their product. Robert was pleasant and not pushy. Their brand has greAt pillows and mattress protectors which we also got. I don't know if you can beat orthos warranty. The mattress protector has a 10 year warranty and if it is taken care of but doesn't protect as advertised they will even clean your mattress. The mattress has a 100 night comfort Guarantee which is exactly what I was hoping for. My husband has wanted a new mattress for at least 5 years and I was worried about spending so much money in something we could only test for a few minutes. Within 100 days you can return for a different firmness or other mattress for the same or higher price with your full purchase amount as a credit, just pay reasonable delivery charge. The mattress also has a 25 year warranty as long as it has no stains, which it won't if you have the mattress protector. Delivery window was texted the night before 11-3. They sucks. The person who help us is Bruce. All they care about is money, not customer service. We ordered a mattress and the 9" bed board. We was not realize that after set everything with the bed frame, it will be really high. The delivery guys came to the house around 6:30pm, after set up everything it is almost 7:00. The rush is to get a signature to leave. We look at the time, it been late, so we decided to call they back for exchange the next day. We called Bruce today, what he said is he can not do exchange but he can sell us bunkey board with another delivery fees. One day after the delivery, they refuse to do anything. They just want you to buy more, but what are we going to do with the extra bed board? They do not care at all! We never going to come back! Read this review through if you plan on buying a mattress from Ortho. It will save you time, money, and aggravation. I would have given "0" Stars if I could. My wife has been trying to buy a new full-sized mattress on-line for many months now. After several disappointing attempts with 3 different companies, (all had a 100% free exchange and/or refund if not happy with purchase with free delivery) she decided to go to a Mattress store. She went to Ortho Mattress which quickly turned into a nightmare. She purchased a full-sized mattress for over $1,000. A standard, full-size mattress measures 72" x 54". After sleeping on it she felt like she was rolling off the side of the bed. She discovered the "standard" bed Ortho delivered was 2" short on the sides (72"x52"). The mattress did not fully fill the bedframe for a full-size mattress. When she called to tell Robert, Ortho's sales manager at Oceanside store, about the defect he referred us to Customer Service. After my wife called, she was very unhappy with how the Customer Service Representative, who was also the manager, treated her. Linda told her there is nothing wrong with the mattress and there was nothing she could do about it. She told my wife she would have to live with it. This is when I got involved. I spoke to Linda, and she was very rude. I explained the mattress was not standard sized and she argued there was nothing that could be done and "they" allowed for such anomalies. When I insisted that 2" difference makes this mattress non-standard, she still argued but agreed to send an inspector. 2 weeks later the inspector arrived and found it was 2" short and told us someone would call from customer service. Well, Linda called and said that yes, the mattress was 2" short of standard, but it was an acceptable error since the mattress was made by hand. Incredible! Linda went on to say if it's a matter of comfort, and it's within the 100-day window of purchase, we could return it for a store credit towards the purchase of a new mattress. That was acceptable to us except it would cost us $100 for pickup of the defective mattress and delivery of the new mattress. Unbelievable! If you know what's good for you don't buy a mattress or any products from Ortho unless you check your product thoroughly. They are an inferior company, with terrible customer relations policies. There are too many reputable companies out there to settle on a third-class entity. UPDATE: I wrote a scathing review on BBB and was contacted by Linda, the rude Ortho customer service manager. She said if we took down the review on BBB they would replace our mattress w/o the $100 delivery charge. We rec'd the mattress 2 weeks later but with respect to other hapless buyers I am leaving my BBB review and adding this one on Yelp to warn all potential buyers off this company. They are not reputable and have bad customer relations. I'm not sure how they rec'd complimentary reviews in the past but not from me or my wife. read more

Bill, our salesman, asked all kinds of pertinent questions and then showed us the stock in the store - he answered ALL the questions we could think of and told us details on each type & size of mattresses that they had. if he didnt know an answer he quickly found it. we were impressed with both his knowledge, friendliness and caring about the product & that we got what we needed. While not the cheapest bed we looked at (believe me we looked at cheap ones elsewhere) it was a Very GOOD price for the Quality! and not the most expensive bed we looked at either! I for one Never felt bullied into buying more than i wanted or could afford the way some stores try to do. Bill was able to make the purchase & delivery arraingements speedily & without any 'issues' - i must say we were delighted with our experience. if/when we buy any other beds we will ask for him again. also as to the Delivery Experience - the company called the day before to confirm as they had promised and the two gentlemen who made the delivery called an hour before they arrived again as promised - they were also awesome. we were told to expect a 4hr window for the delivery (sometime between 12-4) & considering we were having wind problems in our area, imagine my delight when they arrived at 1230! they came in took the old bed out, brought the new one in and set it up and showed my how to operate the controls - quick, easy and painless. wish all my purchases always went this well! read more
