Terrible experience -- avoid at all costs…read more I hired Diego from "Quality Blinds" to install three blinds, and unfortunately, the experience was a complete nightmare. It took five attempts to get the blinds installed, and one is still problematic. He is now asking me for $300+ to fix a problem caused by his own work. He drilled multiple times for each blind, leaving the wall paint damaged. One blind was still wobbly, and his solution was to stick a folded newspaper between the wall and the bracket. Another blind caught the tail of a charger while rolling up, which caused the cable to snap. Communication was another major problem. He rarely answers his phone, does not return calls, and does not respond to text messages. After a dozen attempts and a great deal of frustration, I finally managed to schedule appointments for him to fix the issues. He repeatedly failed to show up on time--not 20 or 30 minutes late, but 3-4 hours late. This meant being stuck at home for hours waiting for someone to fix problems that should never have occurred in the first place. His work was also messy and careless. Ultimately, I had to pay other people to finish and correct the work he started, resulting in additional expense, lost time, and a tremendous amount of frustration. I had just moved and had electricians, plumbers, painters, and other contractors coming and going. There were small issues here and there, but every other professional I dealt with took responsibility for their work and eventually made things right. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Diego at "Quality!" Blinds. DO NOT HIRE HIM.

UPDATE: Installers…read morearrived. Took 2 hours to install manual blackout shade and Sill, the piece for the bottom of the Shutter to give a finished look. While doing so, they removed the entire Shutter at least 2 times as I heard it crashing to the floor several times. (I do not know why they had to do this.). Paint on the sides was ripped off the walls together with pieces of my wall literally removed. And the Sill was damaged as its left side was broken off. When I asked them to leave when they were 'done', one installer refused to leave. I was overcharged for this Shutter and wasn't given what was promised and Shutter still needs adjusting and Sill needs to be replaced. FYI: I have never written a bad review in my life, until this nightmare experience with Diego/Quality Blinds Solutions.

High Point Interiors was the first to reach out! They responded so quickly, it was great! They were very kind and answered a lot of our questions via chat messages through Yelp. Really made me feel comfortable with them which is very important. Once we decided to go along with the project, they did not hesitate in coming out and showing us what they offer. They also took their own measurements and gave us ideas of what would look and work better. (We needed the guidance) We were told it'll take about 7-10 days to get the supplies ordered but it was even quicker than that! My husband got the call that they were ready to come out and install the blinds right on day 7 and we couldn't believe it! They came out and installed the blinds very quickly. They were even kind enough to throw out the old ugly blinds we had. We opted for zebra blinds and they look GORGEOUS!! Really makes a world of difference aesthetically. They really did a heck of a job and the pricing is extremely reasonable. It was the best quote we got in between the companies we were suggested to. They require a 50% deposit so they can order the material. And you can pay with check, zelle, or credit card. The remainder of the balance is due at the end when the job is done. Since i was away I electronically sent Manny the balance naively believing he was a man of his word. When I arrived home I discovered the disaster installation of which I have posted the photos. There was cracks and holes in my walls that occurred during installation that they didn't even bother to fix. They caked the blinds and walls with caulking like a two year old in art class and to top it off half of the blinds weren't even flush with the walls. Since I'd already paid it was close to impossible to get in touch with Manny. They eventually corrected part problem but within a week the blinds began to fall out of the windows, the blackout channels began to break away from the drywall and it became evident that they never used the proper anchoring during installation. I had to pay a different company to come out and properly reinstall and repair the mess they made. There will most likely be a sharp response to this review so just in case I have posted pictures. Please, for your own peace of mind do not use this company. There are far better and truly professional options.
