While the doctors are absolutely wonderful, the pencil pushers above fully dictate. Also, one can always hope to believe those spoken with about medications called in or leaving messages for your physician, but don't expect it to be so. terrible office, terrible uncaring staff. they prescribed me wrong dose of medication, then blamed me. told me it was my fault I didn't double check dose with pharmacy instead of ok'ing refills. Even though when I went on the medication my Dr and I agreed I would remain on the starter dose and never change it. they are rude, accept no responsibility, and they told me not to trust them to send in prescriptions correctly. read more

It's a money mill. Dr. Kinney can care less about his patients. I got comments like,"I don't have time to look over your charts", "you're going to have to make an additional appointment, you have too many illnesses". FYI: A "GOOD" physician will read his patients charts prior to the appointment! He told me his hands are tied and he only gets 15 min with a patient. I drove 1.5 hours for this but he can't even look over my chart! He deserves zero stars. read more

Doctor Assistant Review - Jennifer Rake. I've been going to Complete Health for approximately 5 years. My primary doctor is Bethany Newton. It's very difficult to get into see her so they been booking my appt with DoctorAssistant Jennifer Rake. I wanted to share my latest interaction with Jennifer. This past Friday I went into the ER with severe abnormal pain. I rate the level of pain as bad as when I was diagnosed with a size 10 ml Kidney stone I had last September 23'. On Sunday the pain was still a 8 to 10. We called the doctor's emergency number 4 times between 9 am to 5pm. Each time telling my husband that we'd get a call back from the doctor on call. Doctor called back. That evening we ended up calling a telehealth doctor. She was helpful explaining the pain I'm feeling is normal and I most likely wouldn't find much relief until the Antibiotic starting doing its job. This morning I called my doctor's office to tell them all that occurred. I stated how severe the pain continued to be. The admin called back after she spoke to Jennifer and also stated that it would be a few days before I got some relief. With that being said I requested they refilled me the pain medicine i received from the hospital for a couple more days. The admin said she'd call me back after talking to the Dr, Asst. Jennifer Rake. (My primary doctor happens to be on vacation. Since I never heard back, I called again to request they fill the pain medicine. This time the Admin calls and tells me that i'll have to come in if I want a pain reliever. Has this happened to others? I'm in my 50s and the last time I was prescribed a pain pill was last September by the emergency room doctor for a gall stone attack. Are medical assistance paid by commission or appts? She sure didn't care how I was feeling hardly able to get around the house with being bent over I just saw a doctor on Friday evening. Everyone agreed that the pain could last a couple more days. This isn't the first time I disagreed with this asst. I should have requested to have her off my cases but didn't. They did say I could go back to the emergency room. UGH. read more

This office was wonderful under Dr. Shoemaker, the founder. Now, under Complete Health, I expereinced that my appointment scheduled while I was in the office and logged onto my apple calendar, was not registered on their system when I arrived. So I said, Okay I can deal with this, I will reschedule. They are under new management, relax and move on. This was during Covid season. My husband and I were customers for 7 years. We always recommended the office to new residents in our 500 unit condomenium complex to go there for health care. Then yesterday happened, My granddaughter signed up for health care the first time. was unfamiliar with all the comlexities of the system. The Insurance provider gave her an automatic PCP that she didn't know of. When we arrived at the office, the management stated, " She needs to contact her insurance company to put us as PCP. So we called from office, the insurance company gave us a referral number. My grandaughter was stressed yet proud she could do this. We went to the desk, said, " here is the referral number" the insurance company stated it is effective immediately. The office manager, stated oh no, it is not good until the following month or April? What, we told you here is the number. Oh boy, wait for it, It was 13 minutes after our scheduled appointment times. She said well too bad, your appointment is over. I was like, no one in office at 3:00 PM except one man waiting. I have usually waited anywhere from 20-40 minutes to get into my appointment when busy. Did this office manager blow us off? I asked her you can call the insurance. It was Like, too bad you don't have an appointment anymore. Hello, what did you just say with a smirk on your face? You and your staff are all sitting back there staring at computers, refusing to look up or do any customer service. This is it. We will be changing providers to a more sincere and caring office staff. The absolute hilarious part is after we left, I posted a review online. Immediately after I posted, someone from the office posted a positive review-- to push the truthful one down. Then the next hilarious moment was when my Granddaughter received a email asking her for a review of the appointment from Complete Health EAST. There is nothing complete or caring from the lady behind the desk, only self righteous laziness and arrogance. Perhaps some people have been in the job way too long and take others and their job for granted. Patients are customers not cattle waiting to be led or shut out. This is actually the first time in 40 years, I have decided to write an online review/ complaint. As a therapist, I usually let bad behavior slide due to knowing we all have challenging days. This was not the case, it was pure negligence and self righteous arrogance on the office managers part. Who needs this type of care. It reflects badly on the The Physician Asistants that work there for years, who we have grown fond of. The other caveat, if you were thinking you would have a doctor, you may never see a Physician. only and physician assistant. read more

the front desk staff was very busy when I arrived for my morning appointment and they were all very kind and patient admit the long line of patients to check in. I did not have a super long wait to see my DNP. She was very kind, personable, and did not rush me through my appointment. I was walked out to the check out desk by her and the front desk staff was still very busy. I was assisted quickly to schedule and everyone was again very patient and kind even though they were very busy. I recommend using Complete Health for primary care needs if you live beachside. I want to thank Jeanette RN, Doreen X-Ray and Dr Kinne. Jeanette was very helpful getting me prepped for the Dr. I had cut a good chunk out of my index finger. The Dr requested an X-Ray to see if I had severed tendons, thankfully, no. Doreen was very knowledgeable. The Dr looked at it again, gave me some perceptions then handed me over to Jeanette to bandage the wound. Thank you all for making a painful experience pleasant! This medical office does not enforce a mask mandate inside their waiting room. I've had two visits since the COVID pandemic hit, and both times, the waiting room has gotten somewhat crowded (it's small), and BOTH times they have allowed someone to sit there with no mask on. All the while, several elderly people are patients there. I'd never allow a parent of mine to go to this practice due to this, and I am not going back. I'll add that I am aware their office shut down for a short time a few months back. I will not repeat the reason why I heard it shut down. All I'll say is that they should be extremely careful with regard to the health of their patients. And the idiots who feel the need to "make a statement" about mask wearing should be made to wait outside. read more

I was diagnosed with COVID-19 this week and scheduled a telaheath visit for 2 days later,only to hear that I owed $132 for 2021.Do to COVID I have been unable to work and have no money.Stephanie Sanchez refused to keep the appointment due to what I owed.I also was never told when I went for for covid testing that I was also being charged for a nurse visit.I am also a nurse and can not work due to my diagnosis.What ever happened to the Hippocratic oath that we will treat everyone regardless of our richness or poverty.Shame on you.... you are not deserving of your medical license if you can't treat a person because they can't afford you due to Covid-19.Will I be able to pay my bill?Absolutely when I am able to return to work. They are trying to triple charge us (self pay & got price before going) for lab work. Only got it done there because Dr. Carpenter said they have the cheapest. The person drawing the blood said there were places much cheaper. Husband went for a follow-up & the blood work didn't even include TSH levels, the whole reason for going. Dr. Carpenter didn't even notice until the appointment. Paid another $85 & drove an hour for nothing. Never going back. read more

I've been going to Ormond Medical arts for almost 10 years now, and after not being able to find a doctor in Jacksonville, continue to make the trek down when I need to see someone. I've seen a few doctors come and go from this location (Dr. Sanchez..... really miss you!) but everyone has been very friendly and I can't complain about the care. (For the most part. My last visit, I had to re-fill out my paperwork, and delivered it to the desk, but they weren;t paying attention so I had to check on it again after waiting about 45 mins.) Sometimes the waiting room is a bit of a wait, but it really depends on the day. This is now a walk in clinic, but I still continue to schedule my appointments here. The office building is a bit old, but the examination rooms are clean, there is plenty of hand sanitizer out, and the check out process is usually fast and painless. I think they are sourcing some lab work out now, so that is a bit of an inconvenience, but for me (and trying for 5 years to find a doctor in Jax) I'm just really glad I can get an appointment to see an actual doctor when I need to. read more

Dr Monique Medina is a phenomenal physician. She recommended some specialist for me who are then Fantastic! I have memory damage and she is very kind when I forget appointments and so is the staff I was expecting to get yelled at because I deserve it. They are very patient and understanding with me and I sincerely appreciate everyone! The office is not updated however the staff is very knowledgeable even the nurses! read more

I have 3 consecutive poor experiences with this group. I was told to use pt portal as communication they respond promptly- LIE. I had appointments scheduled and waited over an hour each time, one time I walked out after 2hrs of sitting in a room waiting to be seen. SAD- how they do not respect patients or their time, but always want a copayment in advance. I am a nurse and I would not use or recommend this practice to anyone ever!!! read more

I wasn't overly impressed with the doctor. He was so rushed the first time I seen him he didn't address my concerns. Apparently, he had a meeting to attend. I decided to give him another chance and made a follow up appt. it didn't go much better. The doctor was very dismissive towards me and my concerns. I ultimately choose to find another doctor. Definitely agree that the building is a little dated, but Dr. Shoemaker is fantastic - nice, fatherly type of man, good bedside manner. Plus, he's an early bird and schedules appointments as early as 6:30 AM, meaning I don't have to miss work to go there. Some of the staff are a little dry, but that's alright - I don't go there to socialize. Overall, I would highly recommend them. read more

I got to meet Dr. Newton and was treated and seen by PA Jennifer Rake. I am very happy I made the decision to come to this practice. They found my broken tailbone and other issues, which with the prescription they have given, is helping more than just one issue. I am grateful for the efforts and the entire staff was really helpful and nice too...from the front desk all the way to the back. I was really surprised too, after reading some reviews. We are a family of three and needed to find another primary doctor as ours retired. The receptionist could care less. Her attitude was "sorry" you'll have to wait three months and I can't even book you right now. I guess the doctors don't want new business or maybe they just don't know what the front is doing. If there is one word to describe this practice it is "horrible" and it really is a shame. There are some nice people in the office but most of them are rude. The office manager is one of the doctors wives, and she has no clue what is going on. There are better doctors in this city who do not charge for every. little. thing. that gets done. They do not call back with results. They do not care about their patient. If one of the doctors think that they can not handle a patient they either pawn them off on someone else or they just dismiss them from the practice. Horrible service. THIS IS THE WORST MEDICAL OFFICE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! I have been seeing one of the PA's there for about three years now (Amiee Murphy) whom I liked very much. I used to have a friend who worked there, which is how I started going there. I moved to St. Augustine which made it inconvenient but continued to make the drive because I liked Aimee. I overlooked how dirty the office was, and how hot it always was in there because again, I liked Aimee. A couple months ago I took off work, and drove down there (long drive) for an appointment, only to find out that my provider wasn't even there, and they never even BOTHERED to call me to reschedule. The receptionist basically gave me the " oh well, you're out of luck attitude". I demanded to see someone else (again time off from work and long drive). After having an attitude, she squeezed me in with another doctor.Oh believe me, I had to wait a long time to get in. The doctor gave me a sample medication that did not work for my problem I was seen for. I called a few days later to ask for something else. The medical assistant (Marylynn) had the nerve to tell me that I needed to make an appointment to be seen. I explained to her that I was seen for the problem by a different doctor because they weren't there.Instead of having ANY sympathy that they made a mistake in letting me drive ALL the way there only to find out that Aimee wasn't there that day, and stuck me with a LESS THAN PLEASANT doctor (who was annoyed that he had to squeeze me into his schedule), she now has an attitude with ME! She still tries to make me come back until I spoke to the office manager about the situation.Needless to say, I NEVER GOT THAT MEDICATION TO THIS DAY. I let it go and decided to give the office another chance. I mean, we ALL have bad days right? So I had a follow up appointment on Friday that I rescheduled the week before from 3:30 to 12:45. I show up 15 minutes prior to my appointment. As I am waiting I hear a patient telling the receptionist that he has C-DIFF which is HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS. THEY ARE JUST LETTING HIM ROAM around the office without a mask,leaving the rest of us unprotected. You can catch it by touching the same doorknob. I decided to wait outside.(keeping an eye on the inside door for my name to be called) THE FINAL STRAW, was watching people come and go for about an hour and half, after me. I confirmed my appointment time again with the receptionist . Bottom line is they never updated my appointment time when I rescheduled, so they still had me down for 3:30. Mind you, they took my payment as soon as I got there (at 12:30) and never questioned me why I was 3 hours early for an appointment. She promised to get me back next. When the medical assistant (Marylynn) opended the door and called another patient back, the receptionist quickly told her, no you need to take this lady back (me) because we messed up and she has been waiting a long time. She looked at me and rolled her eyes and said "no, I will take her after this one." ANOTHER HALF AN HOUR went by until I walked out NEVER TO RETURN!! THE FRONT OFFICE really needs to get it together . If it weren't for the Medicaid patients they have who HAVE to go there, they would be out of business. read more

I called this clinic to become established as a new patient because I was having back pain. I have never taken anything for my pain and it was getting worse so I thought I would ask to go to physical therapy or get scanned to find out why I'm having it. Well, I mentioned this to the receptionist while she was making me an appointment. She got me in within a week and I even called my previous doctor from out of state to send my records to them. Well, three days before my appointment, I get a call telling me my appointment was cancelled and that none of the providers in the whole clinic could see me, despite the fact that the receptionist offered me several options during my initial call. Basically, they heard the words back pain and are assuming I'm a crazy pain med seeker and automatically banned me from their practice before they even heard what's going on with me. I am so upset. I've never had anything like this happen to me. I would give them zero stars if I could. read more

I made an appt. as a new patient, filled out all the paperwork, did the portal thing, and waited patiently for a month for my first appt. I was about to leave home when the phone rang and it was the Ormond Arts office. They were calling to notify me that the Doctor did not accept my secondary insurance, which information I had given them on my initial call. Therefore they would need me to change doctors and make another appt. Can a doctors office be anymore unprofessional? They wait a month to call me? Their first email and first paragraph to me let me know how professional they were! Haha! From other reviews I am glad this happened, because I am looking for a Doctor, not a can of worms!
