So yesterday, I checked out the venue Ormond Hall, which I had no idea even existed. The only reason i went was because of a music event that was being held there and I was invited by a close friend. So in I go and though I was a little taken back by the $60 entry for the event itself....not a normal Ormond Hall cover so don't get worried, I was entranced by the beauty of the venue and the friendliness of all the workers. All employees were genuine, approachable, and interesting from the lady with the blue hair serving drinks behind the back bar to the blond with the smile from Melbourne to New York.
Though I just had dinner and didn't order anything to eat, seeing the plates of luscious food start rolling out table by table did get my belly in a rumble, and let me tell you, the people eating were not leaving any crumbs behind...i.e. a guy sitting at the table next to me who ate a whole plate of chips and appeared quite disappointed when the last one left his greased up fingers, moving to his mouth, and falling deep to the valley of belly.
But outside of the make me wanna slap my momma cuz the food looks so tasty meals and friendly staff, the ambience was incredible with mood lighting, well crafted blue stone and historic features, and an amazing sound system...so for anyone planning a big function or event I would have to say this just could be the right place for you. It would be a great environment for a wedding, work party, music showcase, business presentation etc. so get in, get there, and check it out. read more
