My favourites are the clothes - gorgeous women's dresses - and the dolls - but there's an emphasis on farm maachinery and a blacksmith's shop as this was predominanatly a farming coommunity. there's also a Cobb & Co. coach, a maritime display and lots more. At only $5 for adults and $1 for kids, it's an interesting place to visit for a day out - with lunch at a local pub or fish and chips on the bay perhaps?

The most well known one was Muriel's wedding. The dress, shoes and photos are on display with a story. We were greeted at the door and were able to chat and ask questions. There is the historical society in situ and I was able to get some information about genealogy. The displays are on two levels and there is a lift. There is plenty to look at and read. I would allow 1-2 hours to take it all in....and it is free.

Displayed are the tools of the time, both for the house and for farming. There are Four additional buildings, each with its own theme. We enjoyed them all, especially following the historical growth of the Gold Coast. You see the path of technological development of audio equipment, cameras, Sewing machines etc. At last we walked the "forest walk". Local plants are labeled and lead you to historical grave sites.
