If you need flowers do come here, especially if you want orchids. We had a special family event to celebrate and I wanted to decorate with orchids. Lots of orchids. The flowers here were easy to order and when we arrived to pick them up they were nice and fresh looking. The only bad part about this shop is the parking. There is a loading zone in the front of the shop but there is also a lot of demand for the spots when available. We had to drive around the block several times before we could get a spot fairly close. We were loading the flowers into our own car and really needed to be close so we could get them right into the car. The shop staff got us a cart to take most of the flowers out. They were very tall orchids so it was a little tricky. We ordered purple and white orchids. They were perfect when we left the shop but by the time we made the drive to the event location the white orchids were starting to droop and not look so good. We called the shop and they said once we got them to a cooler place they would perk up. They didn't but they were still okay. We really didn't have time to do anything about it right then. Maybe white is less popular than purple so they might have been sitting in the shop a while before we bought them. All in all, the flowers were perfect and no one really noticed but me.

Favorite place to visit when I need to buy some orchid, they have the most amazing selection I have ever seen!!! If you don't like the arrangement they have set up you can choose and pick what you want to be arranged! After coming to here I will never buy it at the local grocery store.

I had a last minute event that needed some flowers. Orkizz was really great to work with and was able to accommodate my custom needs. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and lots of people complimented on them.

My friend recommended me this place for orchids. I wanted to buy my friend something special for her grand opening. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They had a large variety of orchids and it all looked amazing. My friend was really happy with her gift. Two thumbs up!!

Sam was absolutely amazing! It was a very busy wedding season for him and I was definitely a very needy bride. He worked within our budget and provided us with some of the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen. He was so accommodating with the venue and even though they were behind schedule, he stayed and made sure all arrangements were set. We received so many compliments on this day. Because it was a September wedding I can only imagine how busy their shop was, so we did have a little trouble getting in touch with each other so I was nervous as we got closer to the date, but in the end all was amazing and I look forward to working with Sam for future events

I can not say better things about Sam and his staff at orkizz. He does our company galas and has always worked with our budget. Most recently he did my wedding at the Hyatt Huntington Beach. They did an amazing job and were so affordable. The florals were stunning and I could not have been happier. He takes time to work within your budget and he will let you come down to his shop at anytime to see samples and to really understand your vision. I am proud to support Orkizz as a local LA based company in the flower district DTLA. They are professional, affordable, and all in all a best kept secret!!!! And it's not just Orchids!!!

The flowers were beautiful, costs were just a fraction of what it would cost to have a florist procure them and put them together. We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that. When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.

[Parking]: Traffic was horrendous on Valentine's Day, but I was able to find some free street parking near Stanford Ave & E 8th St (near Ninth Street School). [Experience]: Most vendors accept cash or Zelle only. Many of the shops have good flower arrangement selections. There are several markets within the district and some of the more popular markets include: California Flower Mall (825 San Pedro St), LA Flower Place (720-718 San Julian St), and The Original Los Angeles Flower Market (754 Wall St). Also a part of the experience of shopping here is learning how to bargain. [Conclusion]: I did end up getting flowers at a shop here (Rob's Flowers - originally $75 but haggled to $65) and there is no question visitors will find arrangements that they won't normally find at grocery stores like Trader Joe's or Vons. It is a good spot to shop for flowers if visitors plan ahead of time and take 1 - 2 hours to shop around.

I did a major order last year and the arrangement delivered was beautiful and the price was excellent. This visit, we used a new vendor. I've been inside to look at some arrangements before and they were beautiful. Pretty much all the vendors outside the flower mart carries loads of arrangements. Majority are on display and can be purchased there and then. But you can actually get a quote of what you want. I wanted something simple but still elegant. Using what they have on display that gives an idea and adding things to it. It was easy and ordering was fast. Most places do delivery for a fee. You can walk into any of the vendors and check what their rates are. It's easy to look around and see what's out there. A lot of the arrangements are pretty similar but customizing it to your liking is available. Prices can varies depending on the sizes and flowered used. I placed an order and gave them the city of where it needed to get to. The lady taking my order knew exactly where it was going before we even said it. So they must have done a lot of deliver there. The floral stands do come with arrangements. They have a sash that comes free or you can get more of a professional style for an additional fee. I highly recommend ordering arrangements here. Pricewise for my order was great. For an extra large arrangement with added additional flowers including delivery and sash was 250.00. I've looked at websites and simple smaller arrangements were that price or more. It's a deal at the flower district. Highly recommend ordering arrangements.
