Well they are back in the same exact spot, so I called and talked with first girl that answered the phone. She stated oh yes your warranty ends 8/20/2025 and I can call you back to set up and appt. to come out. I get another call from another person stating oh that girl was new and your warranty ending 12/31/2024 it will be another $400 to set up your appt. to come out. should be no stars.....less than a month after they came, I am seeing tons of wasps, yellow jackets and flies. I do not know if they even sprayed all the eaves on the house when they came or they just did the one nest. I am livid right now. besides them being the most expensive company that I called I expected superior service. definitely will not go with them again. did not like the attitude of anyone either. My husband first reached out to Orkin as it was a well known name and received an estimate over the phone. Though the estimate was high, they guaranteed that the issue would be taken care of and would return as often as necessary with no further cost and if they couldn't we would be refunded. If we had any issues all we had to do was call back and schedule another appointment. The man that came to the house was very nice and did what he could for the wasps but unfortunately did not get rid of them. He came back once then had to cancel the second return as he didn't have the proper equipment available to him and said that someone would call us back to reschedule. That never happened. When my husband reached out to Orkin and explained the situation he was told there was no such guarantee and that we could only receive a discount for future services. BEWARE! Called Orkin today. I was told someone could come out today between 2-4PM and then she asked for my credit card. AFTER I gave her that info (which she said would not be billed until service), she told me that they couldn't come out today afterall. Please note she already had my address, knew full well where I live. So I told her that I had to find a company that could come out today as it is a wasp emergency and to totally cancel the service request. Now I'm getting messages that Orkin is coming out next week and I have to argue with customer service to cancel the appointment. SHADY switch & bait type of sales. read more

I signed up in the fall, and was charged $129 to start services. I was told that was a one time fee for 4 sprayings (@$87 each). I got one spraying for $216! In May I called and asked why I was not getting the rest of my sprayings applied. I was told that I had to pay for the season again ($216) as well as the $87 per spraying. They refused to apply my initital $216 towards the next season. Bottom line, don't waste your money on ORKIN. They over charge. I'd honestly give this company 0 stars if I could. Paid for an exclusion service for mice and a three year guarantee that they'd be gone. The exclusion work was done in mid-to-late December. As of last night we're still catching mice in various areas of my home, and now we're being told that we need to pay to have insulation removed and new insulation put in because it's, "infested." This was as of two weeks ago, even though no one had ever inspected our insulation prior. We have a crawl space that no one is inspecting and they are refusing to go inside of it even though mice activity has been seen there. It's been nothing but problems with this company trying to put the blame on something else every time, but not taking responsibility for their (what they call) "work." I've been told to, "be patient," in terms of "fixing" the problem (yet again) because they're "busy" and "all over the place." This is turning into a bad joke. the only thing that was good was the chemicals that were sprayed. and maybe that's variable. renters......you have no say in the service whatsoever....unless you are paying for it. do not trust these people in what they say, do, or offer. find a local person/company your chances are better. read more

If you want to get rid of pests, don't call the Orkin Man! Termite ants became a problem at my house in 2014. Until then, we sprayed a liquid insect killer that we bought at a local Lowe's. We began seeing these ants in the winter so I called Orkin. They treated the house and left traps but warned us that we would probably see more ant at first then they would decrease and go away. They then discussed a maintenance program to keep them away. We signed up for that. What happened was we saw an increase in ants then a decrease but they never really went away. After over 4 years of trying different treatments and different technicians, including a supervisor, I finally decided that the only thing that they were getting rid of was my money so I fired them and called BUGS BE GONE from Syracuse. The technician came out once, treated my house and property and never had to come back. I have not seen an ant in my house since 2 weeks after he left! My advice is if you want to get rid of some money, call Orkin. If you want to get rid of bugs, call BUGS BE GONE! read more

My mother's house was sprayed for bed bugs which should have been exterminated after paying over 1000 dollars for there service yet still here we are months later with the same problem and thousands of dollars in lost furniture and appliances I am very upset with the service and there lousy 30 day only guarantee if you wanna keep your company name in good standing your warrantee should be atleast 6 to 12 months read more
