Worst customer service in town. They are not knowledgeable of their product and it almost seems like a front to be honest. The things they sell are very cheap and of low quality. I want to like coming here; they have a lot of cool glass to look at and the mural outside is neat; it's just too bad the owner is extremely short and won't even look me in the eyes once. on the other hand, all of his other employees seem to follow you around the shop, literally STARING at you while you browse. made me uncomfortable so i grabbed the one item i came for and left instead of possibly finding another purchase. I hope y'all find a way to make better customer connections because you have a cool shop but it feels wasted. read more

As a First time customer, I was hoping for a nice experience at this smoke shop (most smoke shops ive been too have been nothing but kind) i admit they were a little busy, but it took a good 15-20 minutes before i was offered any assistance. The lady behind the counter who looked aprehensive to ask if i even needed help at times went as far as looking away when i would try to get someones attention. By the time a gentelman asked if i needed to look at anything the lady behind the counter pointed out a man who just walked in was in need of assistance. Then only 30 minutes after i walked into the store was i asked if i needed to look at something. then a friend of the clerk lady came in "in a rush" so the clerk lady asked if i could hurry up because her friend was in a hurry. With a wide selection of functional, yet artful glass (...glass animals such as frogs and elephants of all sizes can be uncovered here) and a staff pleasant and accommodating enough to make even the most miserly among us smile, Orion's is Wichita's only specialty smoke shop. Prices are a little uppity, but the glass is quality and for such a wide variety in such a condensed building that's open 7 days a week, patrons will have little to complain about. Oh, and that 2 for $40 deal on glass pipes, some of which have extraneous decorations, like a frog or something on the stem, you're bound to find something you're looking for. read more

This is a smoke shop that also sells novelty "hippy" items. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have one of the best selection of Tye Dye shirts that I have seen. I am a 3X wearer, and I saw sizes at 5X. They have decent prices on glassware, and tey have a great selection to choose from. read more

I've been a customer for the last 5 years and recently, I have been very disappointed with the customer service I've received. I do not live in Wichita anymore but every time we've been in town, we've stopped by and bought something. At least $600 has been put into the store in the passed few months. Every glass item we have purchased lately has shattered with little to no instigation, and we take very good care of our pieces.... Today, before heading home, we decided to give you guys one more shot; and I regret it. In the last three visits, we've had the same gentleman be extremely rude to us. The most recent today.. The same man who has given us attitude before was the one to "help" us. We told him what we were looking for specifically, and he began handing us higher priced, weaker items than what we requested. I understand upselling; but it felt like he was just handing what we would think pretty and expecting us to just take them. We looked over each piece handed to us to be sure we would like what we were going to buy, and we found a makers burr that would not chip off on one, and all of the others had weak stems and such. My boyfriend would point them out to me so I could see what to look for in making our decision. Each time the employee would huff more and more and acted like he could be doing something more worth his time instead of helping us. When we asked if you guys had a basic type of what we were looking at, he said, and I quote: "What you see is what we have, and you've found a damn problem with every one I've handed you so I'll let you look on your own." Which was extremely uncalled for when we were being polite. We weren't complaining about what we were being shown; we were looking them over to make sure that it would not be another waste of money. His attitude was unnecessary and uncalled for. We could not continue to look at items if we cant pick them up to check them over ourselves; and walking away from a customer who is obviously planning on purchasing something before they leave is ridiculous. We were so fed up with the treatment we'd received that we walked out. We have never had any problems with any of the other employees; they've always been really nice and helpful. But considering we've been in at least once a month, and been given the same treatment by the same employee has officially put us off of ever shopping there again. read more

rudest employees ever. They insulted me when I asked a simple question about the availability of some tattoo equipment that they've never heard of. Instead of being helpful, i was treated like scum because they think its better to use unsanitary equipment than it is to try a new product that they've never heard of. I will never go back. While they do offer some premium tattoo inks, they are also at an EXTREMELY premium price. They only offer cheap quality Chinese made tattoo machines that are available on ebay for $50, but they charge $250-$400 for them. These are not professional quality. I wouldn't ever touch another human being's skin with them. I'll just order off the internet. Forget convenience, I'll take customer service any day. read more
