I provided my prescription to the sales person when k purchased my frames and they entered it into…read moretheir system. I waited 2 weeks for my glasses to come back from the lab. I went in to pick them up and tried them on and was not able to see. Clearly not my prescription in the frames as I was seeing double. The optician found that they had left off the prism from the prescription. She told me she would send them back to the lab and I could pick them up in another 10-14 days. I asked if they could expedite the order and was told they are not allowed to add any expedite. I asked if a manger could expedite and was told they couldn't either. My current glasses are on their last leg and I am heading out of town in a week and I'm very frustrated that there was no expedite process when clearly it was an error that they should take responsibility to correct. Only after I explained my frustration, did I even receive an apology. Had I not complained I don't think I would have received any acknowledgment or apology. Ironically, as I sat at the table there was a sign that read... 100% guarantee. If not satisfied we will do whatever it takes to make it right... clearly they don't.

My mom used to wear that one, but when we got there, I tried smelling some of the perfumes by Estée Lauder's daughter, Aerin. I really liked those perfumes! I picked one of those instead. I'm really glad that the Estée Lauder company is continuing on with the children and grandchildren of Esteé. Even though the store closed about 20 minutes after we got there, the sales lady did not rush us. And everything was clean. And the sales lady was kind and professional. She even sold me a face cream. I haven't seen in many years. I was so happy to be reunited with the face cream. I used to love. This is such a nice store! I'm so glad we have one in this area.

For a place called "architectural salvage," this biz has a much larger "antique store" element than I had expected. Virtually the entire sizable first floor is dedicated to a selection of antiques that I found to be incredibly interesting! I wouldn't be able to even scratch the surface of telling you the types of items, but I'd say that the collection lends itself to items that were originally meant to be functional, rather than decorative. Their collection of antique binoculars and telescopes was fascinating, as were their scales. I also really enjoyed rummaging through their apothecary bottles, a personal favorite of mine. Of course, this IS an architectural salvage, so you're also treated to massive stained glass windows, service counters carefully removed from turn-of-the-century businesses, entire displays of doorknobs and hinges and light fixtures. If you were looking for period-appropriate parts for your home, I trust they'd have it. While the prices are high enough I wouldn't say you'd get anything at a steal, the selection is incredibly impressive. Maybe it's still somewhat of a secret and hasn't yet been picked over?
