We had been to a couple of the others, Biblioasis, and Storytellers...yawn. But you walk into THIS place, and realize NOW THIS IS A BOOKSTORE. About ten different rooms, plus a garage out back...full of new and (mainly) used books. Prices that you can't beat. And a selection that would give Amazon a run for its money. My GO TO bookstore whenever I'm in Windsor from now on!!!

You'll find candles for almost any ailment, predicament or situation. Baby mama drama, legal trouble, help winning the lottery, etc. Some of them are printed on the jar but other signs are taped onto the jar (a little low-rent for my tastes). Room for improvement includes pricing all the candles. I picked one up without a price tag and it was $8 when I got to the register, when I saw many others priced around $6 or $7. It was a gift for a friend so not a big deal. Discount Candles is a really fun shop whether you believe the hullabaloo or not. They offer a wide variety of candles, incense and oils to choose from, and they've got a large (free!) parking lot to the right of the store for your convenience. There's so much to say about this completely unique, delightfully quirky shop. It has…read morespiritualness, a great sense of humor, and a great respect for otherworldly forces. That all shines through with the candles, votives, incense, etc. that is thoughtfully shelved and shared. To add to the shopping experience, the staff is wonderful! So friendly, helpful, and just all-around cool. And if someone asks you if you want your candle dressed, the correct answer is yes.

Monique of 3 Ring can customize a candle fill in your favorite vessel for just $1 an ounce! Susan of LuckenBooth does amazing dressing work, and there's a lot of large and small ritual candles on hand from which to choose. There's all kinds of oddities here, and somewhat normal things too with which to gift that difficult someone. Smells good, looks great, definitely worth a browse! Rogues houses a huge collection of comics both old and new, collectible and not, as well as huge selection of geek merch. Get weekly comics? Make an account and expect them to be bagged and boarded and ready to go when you come in. Have kids or go to school? Rogues will give you an free comic for every A on your report card. We didn't have to look far, as Rozwell was lying on a display table right near the entrance! He is so cute and sniffed our hands and got a few pets. I didn't bug him too much as he seemed content to just nap. We learned that he is 20(!!!) years old and there is another shop cat that we didn't see. Moving on, this store is super cool. They have tons of interesting things including lots of crystals, clothing, accessories, gifts, jewelry, and more. The shop also has their production facility in the back. I wonder if they do tours! They are known for using actual manhole covers in Detroit to make prints on clothing, which I think is really cool and would make a great souvenir for any Detroit lover. I had a blast looking around at everything and loved some of the vintage prints on shirts, as well as what I assume are original designs. This is a great shop for finding a gift for the coolest person in your life, or for you, because you are cool. We bought a bag of Kitty Town coffee to take home and I'm excited to come back the next time I'm in town.
