I have suffered with chronic pain for almost 6 years. Due to an injury I have been battling neck/…read morespine issues from herniated discs, spinal stenosis, bone spurs, arthritis... The list goes on. Being in my early 30s makes this all the more frustrating. I've tried it all, chiropractic, acupuncture, physical therapy, holistic and meds, traction, decompression and massage. Nothing has helped, I live with pain but refuse to accept it. Surgery is my only option , I'm told. In the mean time I decided to get a new masseuse. But no more chain, or specials, or coupon massages. I need someone who is a professional, who listens, who will be there for the long haul, who will work with my body to heal and most of all will help with pain. I searched and found someone who fits the bill...Grace at Yeh's art of healing. Two things hooked me in; the use of both east and west techniques and the spinal massage. First impression is a small and scarcely furnished spa. This place isn't about pampering you it's about healing you. I found it very unpretentious. Grace talked to me and and got down to work pretty quickly. I was in a good deal of pain and had a terrible headache, (like always). Grace used good pressure and seemed to know exactly where it hurt as well as where pain was referring from. After an hour (a full hour, none of this 50 minute short change crap) I felt light headed... And soon realized my pain had diminished and my headache gone. I just went the second time today and felt better than I have felt in years. I can actually twist my neck without grinding sounds or pain. I don't expect a cure, I don't expect my bone spurs to magically disappear. But just the fact that finally I have some natural pain relief and a plan (a realistic plan) to slowly relieve pain gives me so much hope. I know this is a long review, but if you're like me, have neck/spine issues and chronic pain, then you'll research as much as possible. It's only my second massage with Grace, but I can't thank her enough. To roll around on the ground with my son and to not be focused on pain is, to me, such a huge blessing. Grace is not a magician, there's not contraptions or fancy devises. She is an extremely well trained professional, knows how people's bodies and spirits work, wants to work to help the body heal and really listens. I actually, finally feel hopeful I can live life without such pain. Its not cheap, but I'm done with cheap massages, I've spent so much on people or contraptions with miracle cures that offer little help. If you're like me, tried it all and still live with neck pain. I would recommend you make an appointment with Grace. It's early days but I already can't thank her enough. She's friendly, helpful, positive and by far the best masseuse I've come across in my extensive experience. I hope to write another review after more treatments and hope to be able to say the chronic pain is a thing of the past. Thank you Grace!

I called to inquire about services and Jasmine recommended a Swedish massage with hot stones based on what I shared. Jasmine and another massage therapist named Brandi started MSE together almost a year ago. There's convenient parking in their building and they operate out of the former medspa location on the 3rd floor. I didn't know Swedish massages could be firm enough to get my knots out and the hot stones felt so nice to help relax my muscles. I love their name MSE because even from my first conversation with Jasmine on the phone she recommended I start doing particular stretches to help before my visit and then recommended other stretches afterwards. You can tell Jasmine truly loves what she does and beyond the service itself she loves educating clients, I felt more aware of my body's needs afterwards. She knew I was working with a PT and encouraged me to share with my provider what she had noticed so they could better support me. I loved my experience and will be back! Follow them on IG @mse.massagestretcheducate for booking info and about their promotions. Booking with Massage Book was super easy, just be mindful that the platform charges a convenience fee for when you book and you will need to prepay (50% for first timers or 25% for returning clients). If you just prepay those minimum amounts then you'll pay the % fee on that and the remaining balance you pay after service won't be subjected to that % fee. I had prepaid in full beforehand and immediately received documentation for my visit with her license number to submit for HRA reimbursement because I had a Letter of Medical Necessity, but if you have to pay the remaining balance in-person you can also get that documentation afterwards too.

I'd wind up in Granite Run, or Lord knows where else. But, I really think I've found a great place to go, and i won't have to hunt any more! I've always needed a strong, quality massage. I need the therapeutic parts, not the candles and incense. Nothing would frustrate me more when I'd leave an establishment, my back is still STONE, and the masseuse's hands are cramped up, because she couldn't get the job done. So, I constantly have had to change my massage places, in order to find a therapist that could do a good job. But, Back in Balance, I believe, is this place. Megan is professional, yet causal. She knows her stuff! It's not like she just watched a couple of YouTube videos, or got out of massage school last month. She really gets the job done. If you really want a quality massage, with therapeutic benefits, she's THE ONE!

I guess this is why collision specialists like bad drivers. That said, Megan is a wonder. She's not your ordinary massage therapist, and there's nothing ordinary about the breadth and depth of her clinical knowledge. In my case she used a combination of neurokinesis and active release therapy to "reprogram" my neck, shoulder, arm and leg to reduce dramatically the chronic nerve pain that typically plagues my right arm, and to eliminate the sometimes blindingly painful sciatica in my right leg. Imagine finding someone who thinks like an neuroanatomist (because she is) and works on the body like a traditional osteopath (before osteopathy became indistinguishable from allopathy) and you have Megan. Her background is impressive (including a stint with the sports medicine program for the Steelers) and her understanding of the human body precise and deeply intuitive. And she didn't just work with me during the session. Megan left me with a set of recommendations so that I could self-correct my "bad driving" after I left the office. I am truly pain-free for the first time in months. Brava. Megan will customize your routine to fit your specific needs, as she did with me. Whether you're seeing Megan for simple stress relief or more involved work like mine you'll find her to be personable, professional, effective and extremely smart. I'm going back to see her again and soon.

So, when I was involved in a major motor vehicle accident and was looking for a practitioner to help me manage my pain, I didn't hesitate to trust the friends who recommended Dr. Gene. And I'm beyond grateful that I did. Dr. Gene goes way beyond being just a Chiropractor. Truthfully, I've always been a little leery of Chiropractors, given the stigma. But, Dr. Gene has simply been in the business of pain management from the moment I arrived. (In fact, it took several sessions before he even suggested an adjustment, because we were focusing on other methods to treat my acute pain). He patiently listens, considers your needs, and accommodates every visit, based on your pain that day. His bedside manner is kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. You are truly a person and not a number here. And his care goes beyond the doors of his office. I don't know many doctors who would, in the midst of a worldwide pandemic, take from their own supply of Isopropyl Alcohol, and gift their patients with a spray bottle full, on their way out the door. (Hand sanitizer too) Dr. Gene did. Two great referrals brought me to Kinetx, and I hope through this one, I'll have the opportunity to pay it forward.
