After 25 years of patronage, we are finally done. The management of the restaurant is just too poor to ignore. Cleanliness is now a major concern, visual and health. Our most recent pickup order left two adults very sick with food poisoning (which did, actually, totally ruin our Easter dinner and weekend plans). Add to the illnesses with volatile vomiting the ongoing HORRIBLE wait times, especially for drive thru, and this restaurant is now on our definite "No" list. Caveat emptor. read more

We ate the spicy beef, or flaming beef. It was the suggestion of the waitress. We also ate the Generals chicken. That dish was very good. The spicy beef was not. The meat was tender, but fried in a corn starch it appeared but was placed in a sauce before the meat was crispy. The texture was less than pleasant, sorta like liver. I didn't eat the meat and told the waitress that it wasn't good. They said we are sorry but offered no discount or other option. We also ate the chicken with cabbage dish and it was fabulous. Overall I think this place had great food, fresh when ordered, however I gave the three stars because It seemed they made no response to my complaint. Working in Cassville the dining options are pretty limited. With that being said, this is by far the best Chinese I've come across in the area. The chicken always seems to be good quality, a good ratio of breading to meat. There's a lot of good flavor in the sauces, which I do recommend ordering on the side and adding to the chicken yourself. The egg rolls, crab ragoons, and rice are the same every time you order, you know what you're getting. The staff are friendly and happy to help. The only negative I can state is that you will wait an hour, literally, for a meal for two people. We called in an order of two general chickens (large), rice, one egg roll, and an order of crab ragoons about 7pm on a Saturday; we were told it would be one hour. We arrived an hour later and were given our food, hot and fresh. However, there was only one family of four dining in at the time we arrived. Hard to see how it takes so long to prepare when there's practically nobody in the restaurant. We'll continue to eat here every time we want Chinese and are in the area. read more

THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!! We are here on vacation from Oklahoma. We asked a local police officer where he would recommend we eat for dinner and he said Oriental House. Driving by we never would've stopped here because the parking is around back and it doesn't look busy from the road. We ordered the half and half, beef and broccoli, shrimp lo mein, and chicken lo mein. My daughter said she'd give it a 1000 stars if she could. I agree! Service was great also. We tried this place because it was close to our hotel. I literally haven't had this good of oriental food since I left Milwaukee, WI about 45 years ago. I had the house egg Foo young, and hubby had the walnut shrimp. Both were very fresh made and HOT! Our waitress was amazing also. Kept checking if everything was OK and very friendly. We finally have a new oriental restaurant to come to when we come in from mexico. (Winter home in ElGolfo Mexico). While in Mexico we come to Yuma Az. At least once a month. EXCELLENT!!! I had heard that this is the best Chinese food around, so I took a friend to check the place out. It was hopping busy even at 5p . We sat and got waters and tea and in under 10 minutes placed our orders with the server, who acted like she didn't like her job. This place was really busy in the drive thru line, but nevertheless we waited 45 min before our dinner came to the table. In fact, mine came out first and my friend insisted I begin eating, which was unpleasant. Within 5 minutes her food came out. My Generals chicken was greasy and tasted as if the oil was old. I don't think hers was better-- I had one bite. I won't be in a hurry to return! I hope others have a better experience here but the most I can give Oriental House is 2 stars. read more

My wife and I enjoy the cashew chicken and egg rolls. The thing we don't enjoy is the help is very inconsistent on their service!

Restaurant was empty when we arrived, it took 10 minutes before we were acknowledged. The menu isn't vegetarian or vegan friendly but usually we are able to customize a dish to our needs. We were charged more for the meatless version of what they call fried rice and the other dishes. Food took 55 minutes to arrive after ordering. No flavor, had to ask for salt when the waitress finally came to check on us. I would not recommend talking to the manager. Take your hard earned money where it will be useful. read more

I grew up in Cassville and I've eaten at OH for as long as I can remember, we've moved to Oklahoma but every time we come back to see family we make it a point to stop by and get at least an order of crab Rangoon's, sweet and sour chicken or cashew chicken, the quality and quantity is perfect. Only thing is you have to ask for napkins and soy sauce to get any on your to go order the people that work there are very polite and professional. Love this place. Great food and it fills the plate. Saw the reviews on the prices it is not a fast food priced place, but it isn't steak house prices either. I would say average priced for our area and large portions. Two could eat a regular size meal if you order eggrolls etc. If you get a large you get a few meals out of it and it is great reheated. The beef is always tender and flavors are excellent. Their menu is simple and food quality is always consistent. Servers are hit and miss. Had a few not too great ones but they didn't seem to last. I have never written a negative review but our meal at Oriental House was very disappointing. We ordered take-out and when got it back to our campsite, I found that the rice was missing from both dinners. On top of that, the meal was cold and soggy. I called immediately and asked for replacement meals but was told that their policy is not to replace the meals. Just passing through and was craving some Chinese so we pulled in. It's cute! Pretty yummy spot. We got crab ragoons and I think they're better than some of the larger chain restaurants. I got the spicy beef and it's yummy!!! I was so full but didn't want to leave the one or two pieces on the plate! Kids got the sweet and sour/ cashew chicken. The chicken was crispy and big! Like a good size piece of chicken with the perfect amount of breading. The service was quick and very polite even after my kids spilled 80% of what was on the table. Sorry guys.
