I didn't know how much, but it was beyond what I expected. I have had personal organizational goals but was finding some areas/things still difficult to tackle and wasn't sure how to handle them. I knew I needed to develop or figure out some kind of systems for making my space easier to clean up. Having ADHD, I knew I needed routines I could eventually turn into habits. I needed functional meets easier for me to manage. And I'm so happy I hired Clean Slate. Lisa understood my needs because she is a highly skilled professional organizer. Upon arrival Lisa had me show her my place, no judgment. She seemed to observe and make mental notes of everything and how it was organized. She gave positive feedback and examples which I needed to hear and appreciated. When we really started tackling the piles of things I wasn't sure what to do with, Lisa was a pro, quick, skilled and helped me identify categories and discard accumulated paper work, when needed would talk me throught the process and thoughts behind what to keep or not to keep. She didn't attempt to overhaul or change anything that was working for me, even if I mentioned that looking at it bothers me. Lisa gave reassurance and again explained functionality. She seemed to know what I needed. I would recommend her to others and even, when needed, hire her again.

    A close friend of mine had a 5 bedroom - 3.5 bathroom house. It was HUGE and in summer 2020 it was…read moreunsellable. My friend was absolutely skeptical about making any money on it, although it was a gorgeous house in a beautiful neighborhood. It was just too big for most people. In April 2021 he decided to try again since the sellers market was great. He wasn't very hopeful of making anything but it should at least sell, right? He lives in another city and I live close by so, naturally, I get the short end of the stick and I've got to get it ready for selling. In comes Keri... Now I had done research on staging and the cost effectiveness of it and thought, this seems like good odds. Intuitively I knew a "set" house would sell better than an empty house. People buy things with their eyes and not with forethought of what it could be. Keri came in the first day and, although it costs money, went through an exhaustive list of things that would ding you on getting more money. MAN it was a lot of work. I'm sure you could contract her to work on these things as well, but here I was trying to save money. (I wish I'd just paid her to take care of this list for me.) But I paid for the consultation - TOTALLY WORTH IT. I then spent a couple of weeks working on that list, again I bet she'd have done it WAY better and would have saved me hours upon hours - and I still didn't get it all done. Then the staging...wow! When I say I had doubts I was even asking her "Uhhh...but what if the staging isn't to the potential buyers' tastes?", which basically meant "what if you don't do a good job" but in a nice way. Just call me doubting Thomas and send me away. She did an AMAZING JOB staging. She was thorough, courteous, professional, efficient and definitely delivered on what she said she'd do. House had immediate offers way over asking price! And there's no doubt in my mind that it was because of her work. If you're wondering if you should do it - do it. She'll work with your budget and it's more than worth it.
