From the first meeting, we knew we were in good hands. Nicole has incredible creativity, a beautiful way of designing for the uniqueness of her couples, great experience, a terrific local network, and is very direct about what to expect throughout the process. She was able to spot that we had been off with our initial estimate on overall costs, then broke everything down with tons of direct talk about where expenses would be generated, where we could save, and where we wouldn't want to save. In the end, her initial estimate was almost exactly what we ended up paying. Once we started working with her, she was brilliant about making a balance between taking the initiative and asking us for guidance. We always had trust in who she connected us with (she works with a network of total pros), and she made the entire process completely transparent, so we could keep an eye on what we needed to do, but also see what we didn't need to worry about. This was the only way that working together from a distance, and only meeting a couple of times in person was possible. Our wedding was on a family member's property, and Nicole was very skilled at pushing through our agreed vision for the wedding, but without ever stepping on any toes - she's a skilled diplomat. Regarding the wedding design, we we bringing together several cultures in the wedding - Hawaiian, Russian, German, and Coloradan. She was able to blend all of these into a seamless whole that totally reflected our identities in ways tasteful, fun, and surprising. All of our guests and families felt this terrific combination of style and identity that Nicole was able to orchestrate. On the day, she was absolutely a dream to work with. Attentive and in control, but without being overbearing, she was on top of every transition and important moment, but never taking the limelight. She's a true professional's professional. Overall, we were so lucky to work with Nicole, and I can highly recommend her to anyone who wants their wedding to be a true representation of who they are as a couple, and at the same time a totally professional production that they can simply celebrate with the people they love without worries. I had an idea of the style I wanted, and held several phone interviews with professionals trying to find the perfect fit. Sarah was wonderful on the phone, and informed me that she and her husband were going to be in my city (New York City) the following week. I already felt like she was a frontrunner, but then she was willing to take time out of her vacation to meet with my husband and I! She is calm, organized, and has great vision. We chose her and Dane immediately. From that moment, I knew we had made the right choice. Her portfolio is to die for, and her communication about what you are looking for is so helpful. We did a questionnaire and several emails back and forth, and I felt totally comfortable with what Sarah and I both wanted for the wedding. After a final meeting, we were all set with the timeline (of Sarah's making!) and ready to go. On the actual day, Sarah and Dane were FABULOUS. They were flexible, patient, and had some incredible ideas up in the heart of Red Rocks. They shot gorgeous pictures outside and inside the chapel (with a large window-- tough to capture the lighting correctly!) and made sure to get every shot, regardless of the time. Dinner ran late, but Sarah and Dane stayed to ensure we got every moment captured. Afterwards is where Sarah shined even further! She put pictures up in a timely manner, did amazing edits, and chose the pictures that Steven and I would have chosen ourselves to refine! We were and are so happy with all the shots they got, and chose favorites for an album right away. Sarah is a total whiz with PhotoShop, and was happy to take the time and get everyone in large group family photos seen and happy with the composition. Sarah is in high demand, but doesn't forget about you once your day is over. We ordered off of her website for some larger pictures, and it is so easy to use! We couldn't have had a better experience with Sarah. I would highly recommend to ANY bride (they travel!). The cocktails were really good (we had multiple guests ask for their contact after the wedding), and the bar never felt backed up even when things got busy. Not only did she create a STUNNING design board that led all of the creative/design meetings with vendors; But she took a "feeling" that I had of "romantic, moody, fall" and TURNED IT INTO AN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING WEDDING. It was so special to see her ability to hear the vague words and create my perfect vision for my day that all of our guests commented was "so Ashli and Brad." On top of being a design queen, she also wrangled my bridal party and vendors and kept us on track day of (really month of, I did mostly nothing).
