A true "local" pub, with its original small, discrete rooms and a comprehensive bar.
This is within walking distance of my various homes over the last forty years, yet I have only been in there three times. The management has changed relatively recently and this has transformed the pub into a place where I will be visiting a lot more regularly in the future. The staff are all welcoming and knowledgeable, the real ale is very well-kept and the food is excellent as well as being incredibly well-priced.
There is a small car park adjacent and on-road parking all around.
There are picnic tables outside the front door and a covered area at the rear with more picnic tables and smoking area. read more
