We were in constant communication and he kept me updated every step of the way. And the results were fantastic. Long review/full story: We worked together with an engineering company to draw up plans to remove a 30 ft load bearing wall. From start to finish, it was a roughly 4 month process (because of COVID) and Josh worked tirelessly from the planning process to a finished project. He does his own work and takes pride in the work that he does. He was very upfront and honest about any issues we were going to face during construction, and we worked together to find amenable solutions. Oftentimes, there are hiccups, delays, and unforeseen problems when dealing with construction and it's the contractor's job to communicate what's going on to the client and Josh is superb in this aspect. Over the 3 week construction process, we were in constant contact and tackled the problems together. Josh runs a top-notch company and his work is impeccable. There are little details in his work that tell you he really cares about what he does. You won't regret coming to Pacific Craft Construction with your project.

What a pleasure to work with Pacific Craft Construction! The remodel turned out AWESOME! From start…read moreto finish they were great communicators about the project. I cannot stress enough how refreshing this was in dealing with a contractor. They would let me know when they were planning on being at the house, what their goals were and updates on progress and any unexpected snags. The team at Pacific Craft has a keen eye on the big picture and small details of the remodel. When something came up that would delay one section of the house they had the forethought to pivot and work on another aspect of the house. They produced amazing results on the project. They have pride in their work and genuinely care about the customer and the finished project. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

Can I heap more praise on Shawn and James? These guys run this great business. We worked with…read morethem to remodel an older home we bought in Sunriver right out on the Deschutes. Shawn did the design and permitting for us. We set up under a cost plus model. That's how they work. My wife and I were super worried about this, but reluctantly agreed with our "been in Bend forever and did us right" realtor's recommendation. We fortunately found out that they were incredibly economical in executing the project, and more. Costs came in consistently under their estimates. I don't think that happens very often, and we didn't budget that way, so we were so pleasantly surprised and thrilled that costs came in at/below expectation. They are a small business, and there were times when they were working other projects and our things were on hold. From our experience, as long as Bend contractors are busy, an ideal match customer for their business will be someone with some time flexibility, who wants lower total costs and excellent work. Not to say they were particularly late. They completed the baseline scope of work pretty much on time (a month or two longer than their forecast at project start). We have added a few things, and my sense is they've juggled those asks with bigger projects they're working while trying to attend to when we're planning to be in town/out of town. We're fixing up a second home, so no big deal for us to work within this framework. So if you want great price, great quality, a trustworthy, super friendly and super super competent team to do your project, and you can live with less than perfection on schedule, you can't go wrong with White River. Cheers! Jay and Jane Daniel

Our home looks like a cross-eyed one-armed 5-year old primate painted it. We'd spoken to the builder about the horrid paint job and were told "it's within acceptable minimum standards" and in the next breath we were asked "can you see it from 10 feet away in natural light?" There's nothing about "minimum standards" and standing "10 feet away in natural light" on Bend Painting's website. Bend Painting, after all, advertises itself as "Bend Oregon's Premier Painting Company" So we called Bend Paint because this paint job is NOT representational of the quality of work they advertise all over their website. Bend paint hasn't returned the calls.
