I left her office worried that I had this heart condition. I went to another provider who didn't hear what Julie heard, who ordered an expensive heart test to clarify the diagnosis. My insurance company would not authorize payment because I had no heart symptoms. I just had to live with the anxiety. Recently I had some heart tests as part of a study and I learned I do not have/never had the condition that Julie diagnosed. In the same appointment Julie prescribed an alternative medication for another concern. There's a standard treatment, but she said she preferred the alternative. I had a severe reaction, never mentioned as a possibility when Julie recommended it. I didn't know if my reaction would lessen over time, if I should stop taking the medicine, lower the dose, or what, so I called her for advice. She explained that her policy is to charge pts for every minute she speaks on the phone with them. I couldn't see paying her for every conversation we might have while we figured out the correct dose of the alternative medication. I found a new provider.

I went in recently with strep throat my entire throat was completely white swollen and hurt and he said I had a cold and throat stones and no strep. But I went and got a second opinion because it hurt so bad and it was infact a form of strep that got way worse due to no antibiotics for two days because of trying to believe the guy. This is only 2 examples recently: we've never had a good experience with him I think he just guesses. I highly recommend any other location he shouldn't be practicing there.

I think their appointments fill up fast, so don't count on just being able to walk in. I made my appointment in the morning to come in at 5:00. When I arrived, it showed there were no walk-ins available for the rest of the day. Second place goes to the Providence Immediate Care down further east on Sunnyside, which will bring you longer wait times for walk-in, but they also has more equipment (X-ray, etc) than this little clinic. I've been to both, and there's a time and place for either clinic. However, if you're in need of a straight forward exam and possible Rx, this place is super convenient!
