we had dinner here last night for my birthday and honestly regretted it…read more for the good - the wait to be sat wasn't so bad given that it was a friday evening. noise level was mid, you can carry a convo without feeling the need to raise your voice. for the rest... - once we had gotten sat, it took a hot minute to be given menus, then another to take a drink order... then more to take a food order. once we ordered food and drinks tho it felt like we were waiting MORE in between getting everything. we ordered the calamari to start (delicious, i recommend). drinks were alright. the paloma i got wasn't the best, it tasted a little watered down. boyfriend got the chimichurri steak which was honestly cooked well. the flavor was great, tender all the way through. but my braised short rib fell all the way short. it was just not good imo. it tasted alright but it looked AND felt tough. i have never had short ribs that weren't tender so this was a first. i didn't even finish it, or take the rest home. either take that off of your menu, or have someone cook it right because it tanked my mood for the rest of the night.

They are awesome in teaching technique and have won awards for their technique. They provide report cards twice a season to let parents know how they're cancer is progressing. The are many dancers that have been here as long as we have and it has been wonderful to see the dancers and how they progress from year to year. The dancers and the parents are encouraging and supportive. The parents don't hesitate to jump in and help out any child that needs it. Just a warm fuzzy feeling here. Update: I meant to include that the dance teams plan, choreograph, and perform a show that donates the proceeds to a charity each year. The first year was Ronald McDonald House. The second year was Wounded Warriors. This year, the charity is Suicide Prevention. Such a wonderful learning experience.

All are welcome to take classes and the studio offers outside opportunities to give back to the community. I highly recommend this studio.

The confidence and technique she has gained throughout the years shows in her dancing. Our daughter has made life long friends here, and loves the teachers like family. And lets not forget that Center Stage / Aspire had the #1 dance out of 2000 routines at the 2021 Starz Nationals !

We had a very bad experience with Craig Elliott at A&A Music Academy in Hanover Park, IL. After…read moreteaching my child the Ukelele for two months, Mr. Elliott, the music instructor, decided that teaching this instrument to young children was outside of his expertise as a music teacher and thus canceled the rest of our classes for the month, which by the way, had been paid in advance. In addition, there was an incident where he grabbed and yanked my six year old child to try to keep the child from standing up from the child's chair (this we learned later!). The list of incidents goes on. To top things off, during the last class that Craig taught my child, Craig seemed to be be sick and coughing with a cold. As a result. my child contracted RSV after this last lesson with Mr. Ellilott. These are just a few examples of our experience with Craig's lack of professional acumen as a music teacher. First, children should not be grabbed or yanked under any circumstances. Second, it is very unprofessional to not have completed his commitment of teaching after having been paid for the classes in advance. Thirdly, one should not have close contact with anyone while sick! At the very least, Mr. Elliott could have informed us and/or wore a mask to prevent spread of disease. Unfortunately, sharing our story here will not keep you all from experiencing the same at this school with Mr. Elliott. However, if we can save one person from experiencing abuse in the way of poor professionalism that we have experienced, then sharing our bad experience with Mr. Craig Elliott is worthwhile.

My 5-year-old daughter has been enrolled in Bear Paddle for about 5 months now, and everything…read moreabout it has been AMAZING. She is very sensitive and had strong aversions to water when she started, but the teachers helped her feel at ease, slowly introducing her to the water and letting her go at her own pace. Thanks to their excellent and responsive teaching, she has mastered skills I thought would take years in just a matter of weeks. She LOVES swimming now and feels so proud of everything she is learning. And as a mom who also loves swimming and highly values water safety, it's such a reassurance to know she is in good hands. My daughter is also sensitive about male teachers, and when I called Bear Paddle to request female teachers only, Mona was SO kind, empathetic, and accommodating. She reassured me that this is a totally normal thing to ask for and that they were happy to help. Every time we've spoken to a staff member, they have been generous and helpful in finding us class times that work for our family, getting us on wait lists, etc. I can't recommend this swim school enough!
