Have I really not written a review yet for this place? Hard to believe. I have been here at least 20 times since my friends and I began coming here for Karaoke every other week or so for ages now. Every one of my experiences were on a Wednesday. Its a dive. It's not usually very crowded, but once in a while, you get surprised. Drinks are cheap and fairly strong. Brenda is always there on Wednesdays and I simply cant say enough good things about this lovely lady. My friends and I show up in time for karaoke and we always have our table available. We are usually the largest and most sing-songy group in the house. The food is quite good - basic bar food, but the chicken tenders always seem especially yummy and fresh. A large and comfy smoking area - some of it even covered and with a tv. There's always parking, it's convenient (of the Couve is convenient). You get a real mix of folks here - we may be the liberalist of them - but not necesarily. Sometimes super friendly, or awkward, or annoying... like evereywhere else. I love this place... It's my hang.

Just stopped in for a beer. Exactly what I thought a WA border bar would be. Perfect.

Warm, inviting, comfortable, and usually noise appropriate. Second, their menu is solid... they know what they do well and they stick to it. You never find the random "daily special" that is half-hearted... everything they do, they do a supurb job at. Their prices are always on-point and I'd be danged if they aren't our favorite late-night reverse-happy-hour. Excellent menu with great options for those of us who like dinner a litter later than most. Drinks are on-point, they make a great martini! We highly recommend Amaro's Table to anyone looking for a good solid meal. This is one of the places we always take guests knowing that we'll have a good time and excellent meal.

Another lovely experience at Amaro's! Love this hospitality company and their affiliates, Gustav's…read moreand Cecilia's. They all have such an inviting and cozy atmosphere. Employees are always welcoming and friendly. I also appreciate that all their locations accept reservations that can be made online. We came in for lunch on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy around 11:30am, but by noon it was filling up fast! The host greeted us when we walked in, and seated us right away. Our server asked us if we were celebrating anything before she took our drink order. The service here is so nice! We ordered the calamari appetizer (yum!) and Caesar salads with chicken for our entrees. I ordered the grilled chicken and my husband ordered the fried chicken. Both were delicious! My only complaint this visit was the Caesar salad dressing. It tasted different than what I've had in the past here. I always order their Caesar salad because their dressing is delicious; not too fishy or tangy. This time it was super tangy with a strong vinegar flavor. I ate all the salad on the top, but the base was drowning in it. Luckily my husband likes vinegar so he ate the rest of my salad. I would have sent it back, but it didn't hit the point of inedible for me until more than halfway through it. I definitely couldn't eat another whole salad. I'm not sure if they changed the ingredients, but I'd be hesitant to order it again. They have plenty of other delicious options on their menu, so it might be time to try something new! Overall, we love this restaurant and it's affiliates. Would definitely recommend.

The bread was toasted and buttery, and the corned beef was steaming hot and delicious. The Caesar salad was also very good. I did not leave hungry; the portion size was large. It was a very filling meal. The service was top-notch. It was a Saturday at 11 AM. It was not packed but decently crowded, and all of the servers seemed to be on their game. The ambiance reminds me of an old-school deli. It was very clean, and there was ample seating. My friend lives in Vancouver, so I will definitely be back to try more of the food offerings when I'm in the area visiting.

We've been wanting to try this place for awhile now, but it always looks so busy on the weekends,…read moreso we waited until we had a day off during the week. We arrived around 11:30 on a Wednesday. It was still pretty busy, and only two booths were open. We were first on the wait list. We only waited about 5 minutes for the host to clear the tables and set them. Staff was friendly and welcoming. You can tell it's a popular place by how busy it was on a weekday. This restaurant occupies an older building in downtown Vancouver. There is street parking available. It's a small establishment, but they do a great job of utilizing every inch. They even have a nice waiting area by the door with two long wooden benches. There are both table and chair seating, as well as a few booths. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. We ordered the croissant club sandwich with fries and the triple play with half a reuben sandwich, Celtic Caesar salad and a cup of Irish stew. My hubby also asked for a side of bacon. The food came out rather quickly considering how busy they were. Everything we ordered we devoured. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. I added avocado to my club sandwich and it was so yummy! Prices are more than reasonable compared to other establishments. You get a generous portion as well. Overall we were happy with the service, food and prices. We'll definitely return to try their breakfast options. Everything looked so appealing as it came out of the kitchen. Would highly recommend!

The salmon was a little larger portion than normal, but there was less vegetables that it came with than in my past visits. The salmon did not seem as good of quality. The salmon had a very small amount sauce which was hardly noticeable and It could have been better seasoned. My husband had the hamburger and French fries. The fries were delicious, but the burger was dry & also lacked seasoning. The presentation of the burger on the plate could have been more appetizing. The dessert we chose was apple crisp which we shared. It was presented nicely with fresh cut green apple surrounding the dessert. The pieces of apple were too small, so it was on the border of being applesauce. It could of used more cinnamon & a little nutmeg. It came with a teeny tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream. The dessert is way smaller than what it used to be. We thought that there was supposed to be Carmel on it or in it, but we couldn't taste it. For $12.00, it wasn't worth it On the bright side the waitress was wonderful and we got good service.. The atmosphere is pleasant and the booths are comfortable. I have eaten at this restaurant at least forty times. I hope that the standards are brought back to what it used to be. Don't get me wrong, the food isn't terrible, but has room for improvement.

DAIRY ALLERGY MISHANDLED -- WAITER LIED ABOUT CHECKING WITH THE KITCHEN…read more My girlfriend has a serious dairy allergy. Before she arrived, I spent time with our waiter going through the menu carefully -- no butter, no dairy, confirmed twice. He even went back to check with the kitchen and returned saying her meal was completely dairy free. It wasn't. Someone else at the table tasted the green beans and suspected butter. When I asked again, the waiter confirmed they'd been cooked in oil and butter -- after already telling us they were safe. By then the pork chop had been sitting on top of them and was contaminated. His response? "I can bring you another side." No offer to replace the meal. No offer to remove it from the check. Nothing. We had a show to catch at the Magenta Theater and no time to push it, so my girlfriend skipped dinner and grabbed something at Burgerville afterward -- she had a headache by the end of the show. The food and everything else about the evening was genuinely good. But between the false assurance, the contaminated meal, and the complete absence of any effort to make it right, I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone managing a food allergy -- and I'll be thinking hard before coming back myself.
