Picnic tables and benches all over, including many under a central, covered area. Charcoal grilling is permitted, and a safe disposal site for charcoal is available. Two different open grass areas exist, as do many trails. Restrooms were clean and fully stocked.

Plenty of big tree canopy cover and deep dark shade. Medieval Europe themed kid's play structures! Thrilled that something from my childhood might be passed a little further on to other generations. Amazed that it wasn't nixed for some 'political' reason. The most crowded I've seen it was on a summer weekend with a couple of simultaneous children's birthday parties - and still didn't feel crowded! Have not seen homeless, stealth campers, bums, or junkies. Even when completely empty didn't feel creepy as others report - but then I'm creeped by creepers, not solitude. For further research: There's some type of fenced off private trailer living space inside the park, near the parking lot. Very odd. Park is apparently on what was known as the County Poor Farm. https://clark.wa.gov/community-planning/clark-county-poor-farm Much more space and trails yet to explore.

So many different things to do here, a great spot to spend the day! If there was a negative, it's truly just how busy it is, and you can't hardly fault anyone - it's such a cool spot! Just keep it in mind if you do go, and maybe consider less busy options if it's a peak park time.

This park is a total gem--thoughtfully designed, beautifully shaded, and perfect for families. There are plenty of swings and a great variety of play equipment to keep kids engaged for hours. One of the things I appreciated most was the visibility--there's seating thoughtfully placed all around the park, so no matter where your child is playing, you can easily keep an eye on them. There's even a grassy area under the trees where you can lay out a blanket and relax. Even on a hot day, the metal slides stayed cool thanks to the shade, which is a rare and welcome surprise! The kids there were all friendly, and the parents seemed attentive and involved, creating a really positive, safe vibe. My kids had a blast and would've stayed much longer if I hadn't forgotten snacks--lesson learned! We'll definitely be back, this time with a picnic and more time to explore.

I am a vendor during the summer, at the Cully Neighborhood, and when I first heard about Cully Park, I THOUGHT it would be around that area. I did not KNOW, it's actually just 6 mins. drive from my house. We live in the Roseway. Weekly, my husband and I find a neighborhood park to venture, have a picnic, a walk, just something to do with my group, but since it is during pandemic, my husband and I do that ourselves. And Cully Park is the one picked for this week. We started out, picking food to-go, and picnic in the park inside our car. I really like this park! It's got a lot of things to do for adults as well as the little ones. I'm a grandma, and it was drizzling, and bundled up ready for outdoor, and I tried some of the climbing equipment children go for (for the first time in my life!) My husband who was recuperating from a broken ankle, was able to do a couple of them, as well (shown in my photos), just to check if he is healed. Because of the awful wind & weather, we cut our visit short. Not far from the park, you can see view of some homeless people in tents with their fire going to keep them warm. The park have a Porta Potty and also Family Restrooms (which was closed) when we were there. Even during this type of weather, a bit of clouds & sunshine mixed, we see many people using the park, which was a positive move. There's also dog park community garden, another positive thing about this park. I took also some photos of the playground, to show my oldest son, just in case, he would like to bring his children here. (I doubt it, they're two blocks away from their own park). Another plus about this park: In the parking lot where we were having a picnic, for those who love watching the trains go by, you have an aerial view above the tracks. I took a video for my 3 years old grandson, who have been obsessed in trains, for 3 years! He can also almost play the piano, the train song.
