The resident dr was great, patient and listened to our concerns. Our major complaint is with the attending Dr. He was an Asian Indian dr and we did not catch his name. He had very poor bedside manner. Rude, did not introduce himself or listen to our concerns. When he came in he was abrupt and very rough with our 6 year old son. After he aggressively poked and prodded our son's face and mouth, our son's gums were bleeding and you could tell that our son was in more pain than when we arrived. Sure, we got antibiotics but not without paying a price of a rude unprofessional dr that made us feel like we were bad parents for dental issues that were out of our control and a even more swollen and now bleeding mouth. Thank GOODNESS we are not from the area but if we do have a minor emergency again when in town, we will NEVER come back to this place and will make sure friends and family do not go to this place. Find a real attending doctor or give some PD on bedside manner and approach when dealing with a child. WE ONLY CHOSE THIS PLACE BECAUSE WE FIGURED THE DOCTORS KNEW HOW TO DEAL WITH CHILDREN! When we were late for our first few appointments (we were new parents, had little sleep, and were getting used to the idea that it takes an hour to get out of the house) they didn't make us feel bad, or feel that we were wasting their time- they were understanding. I had a lot of trouble breastfeeding, but they were supportive. I broke down several times in their office, crying hysterically, and the nursing staff were all kind and supportive, giving me words of encouragement. The doctors are very down to earth, and just care that your baby is doing well- doesn't matter how fast or slow they are progressing, and they don't make you panicked, telling you what your baby should or should not be doing at any point. They just tell you how great you're doing/how great your kid is doing- they are very encouraging. The BEST thing about them is they will NOT take you if you refuse to vaccinate your child! Otherwise, they will take any insurance, etc- they just want to make sure the children that go to their office are safe. I cannot say what a relief that was to see that policy. Also, they have a 'sick' and 'healthy' section of the waiting room, so no germs are crossed over- same for the rooms. The whole office is separated in two- with the right side for the sick, and the left side for the healthy. I just adore these doctors.

At the time, I thought it was a clerical error on their part and I was upset about it). Even though I was the one in the wrong, office manager Jessica reached out to me to 1. Gently tell me I was wrong (which is a skill in and of itself lol) 2. Offer to refund me even though I was the one mistaken. I'm really pleased with the way she handled it (it meaning me being a "karen") and I'm confident that any future issues can easily be cleared up with a phone call. I felt like I owed them a positive review after incorrectly bashing them. As for the care itself, we've enjoyed the providers we've seen so far, have had a few clinical questions that were answered quickly over the phone, and wait times in the office are pretty standard- not bad at all

So I tried looking around for testing sites at 2pm on a Thursday. These guys had an opening and helped me make an appointment. My ride didn't arrive on time, so I called them and they were able to reschedule me same day right before they closed. Testing site was super sterile and organized. Only down side is that it took 4 days to get my results. But over all a nice experience! 2. As my grandmother's care taker I took her to see her Dr. All the time at Neighborhood Heath Center. Upon walking in there are tons of posters at the check-in counter in multiple languages explaining that they have access to an interpreter if needed. As well as posters about financial or government assistance for those who need it. Nurses and receptionists are sweet hearts. Dr.B really listened to my grandmother about her health issues and concerns and helped her through them. Even at the pharmacy there were also posters for those who might need assistance affording prescriptions. Honestly the most welcoming and helpful Doctors offices I have EVER been to! (Only downside is that even with a scheduled appointment we had to wait an hour to be seen)

I have been a patient here for several years now. My doctor recently retired. When I called to make…read morean appointment they would not get me in. And then explain to her what was going on and that I needed the blood work done for my anemia and an x-ray for my throat right away, as I felt that I have a blockage in my throat. (Ended up having a blockage). I finally did give me the blood work but refuse the X-ray and instead sent me for an ultrasound of my throat, which being in the medical field for a long time I know that the other song will not show a blockage in the throat, the tech that did the ultrasound also said the same thing. Neighborhood health center in blaisdell vet told me to go to the ER at Mercy which I did, and they told me that I should not be being sent there when they can do the X-ray. This place is absolutely terrible, instead of calling the patient back and apologizing and trying to make good on this they send me a letter saying they were dismissing me from their practice. I am completely okay with that as I felt after my doctor left it was absolutely no care at all. They would not even give me my emergency meds. Like my EpiPen for bee stings and my rescue inhalers for my asthma. This is not proper care, if they don't like when someone gets upset with them then maybe they should make an appointment for them, active listen to what the patient is trying to tell them and get them the testing that needs to get done instead of sending them to the ER where the patient gets yelled at for going there. I would not recommend this place to anyone they need to get their act together! Not to mention when you have an appointment time you're sitting for at least 3 hours to be seen, even when you have a time.
