An extremely challenging 18 months but I couldn't have accomplished it without my instructor and the staff at CFI being advocates, pushing me along to achieve my goals in the safest, most cost effective and efficient way possible. If you're looking to achieve your aviation goals within a great airport training environment and at an exceptional school, without breaking the bank, please consider CFI. I've had nothing but a great experience with CFI during the entirety of my training; don't let the zero to hero schemes with the other guys fool you!

Working with Camarillo Flight Instruction, I was thoroughly impressed! Initially, I contacted several flight training schools in November, 2012. I explained my unique circumstances of desiring to complete the FAA required Flight Review. One seemed more interested in keeping their not-well maintained aircraft in the air and at another the instructor spoke more about his ambition to acquire an airline pilot job than discssing my goals. I took time to figure out finances and choose the right place to train. I chose Camarillo Flight Instruction because they inquired about my intentions and provided a plan to get me there. This gesture proved that Camarillo Flight Instruction did not simply see me as a potential customer, but as a fellow aviation colleague. In addition, the instructors at Camarillo Flight Instruction are professional, dedicated and enthusiastic. Christian Straubinger was my instructor and he patiently worked with me to complete my training in an efficient manner. I flew my family recently in one of their late model, well-maintained aircraft and I owe the trip's success to the training. There passion and dedication helped me acquire confidence in my profenciency. My experience far exceeded any expectations. They run a fantastic program and I am grateful for their guidance and will continue toward my Instrument Training with them this week! I highly recommend Camarillo Flight Instruction to others pursuing flight training! Best Regards, Pastor Kenneth Earl

The folks at Channel Islands Aviation were extremely kind and helpful. The customer service manager Alice arranged a hotel room for me and made sure that I received the 17% room discount provided to their clients. She also loaned me a phone charger for the night and had one of the linemen drive me to the hotel at no charge whatsoever. I cannot speak highly enough of their service and the atmosphere of the business. Top-notch all around. He is never in a happy mood to anyone, he gives off the impression of hating his job and life and it kills the mood when you're about to fly. Their selection of 172s are not bad they have some nice ones and the prices are normal lobby is fine and comfortable enough to wait in.

His expertise and calm demeanor set the perfect tone for what was to come. As we lifted off, my heart raced with excitement and a hint of nervousness. But soon, we were soaring about 500 feet above the ground, and my fear melted away. The sensation of being up in the sky, with the wind gently caressing my face, was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The true magic happened when we flew towards the ocean. The view was breathtaking, and the feeling of soaring and descending over the waves was truly exhilarating. I was able to feel the spray of the water and it was almost as if I could reach out & touch the water. I felt a rush of pure joy and freedom. Despite my fear of heights and aversion to roller coasters, I found myself completely at ease and thoroughly enjoying every second of the flight. It was an unexpected and delightful surprise that left me craving more. This ultralight flight was a 10 out of 10 experience, and I can't wait to do it again. Thank you, Mike, for an unforgettable adventure in the sky!

Recently, I decided it was finally time to see whether learning to fly was something I wanted to pursue, so I booked a discovery flight with Essence Flight School. It was an incredible experience! My instructor was knowledgeable, patient, engaging, and made the entire flight both fun and educational. I had the opportunity to learn some basic maneuvers, including making left and right turns, performing a 360-degree turn, maintaining straight-and-level flight, and getting a feel for the aircraft controls. It was such a unique and rewarding experience. If you've ever been curious about flying, I highly recommend scheduling a discovery flight. It's the perfect way to see if aviation is right for you. I'll definitely be back to learn more about earning my pilot's license. Thank you to my instructor and everyone at Essence Flight School for making my first flight such a memorable one!

(Here is the reason's why) I never been in person to this place. And I called them and let them know about my weight cause I know with Cessna 172 , it is going to be tight since I am 6'3" with 280 pounds,Tall and big guy. But he told me I am over weight (which probably I am) and it is impossible for me so he said I have to choose multi engine to be able to lift me which is 500 $ for me. No way I am paying for 60 minutes discovery flight. So, I asked him if I sign up as a student, how do I able to learn an aircraft an he said I have to pay extra 20 k since I need a bigger airplane. Feels really insulted on the last question. So if you are a big guy then this is really not a best option cause they don't find a solution for you with care. And even in my mind, if the discovery flight goes well and the vibes of the school was good, I was going to sign up as a student for PPL program and now their first impression on me was really trash and I am disappointed.
