Uneven service depending who is at bar. The young ladies is delightful and some may even recall what you had yesterday and offer you the same. They are cheery and go the extra mile while there is a mustachioed older gentleman who seems grandfathered in to the place. Zero customer service, he responds gruffly if you ask a question. He refused me soy milk when I saw clearly there was several containers at breakfast. Also his service was painfully slow while we were the only ones in the cafe at that time. Ugh. But it's the cafe for the hotel and no other convenient option. although the pastries look good, make sure the apple strudel is Cooke well on the bottom crust ... Not my favorite experience at a five star establishment but they try to make up for blunders with small compensation and most do have a pleasant attitude to the guests. This is the restaurant for the Hotel Nassauer Hof and their breakfast is FANTASTIC! Every morning they lay out bowls and bowls of fresh fruit including strawberries, grapes, apricots, oranges, grapefruit and kiwis. They also have a nice selection of cheeses, meats (salami, horse, blood sausages) and muesli. On a separate table they have hot containers full of bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs and boiled eggs. There is also a section of fresh breads that you can eat whole or you can cut a piece off using the bread knife. Make sure you grab some nutella and/or some of the amazing jams they have out: strawberry, raspberry, orange, sour cherry and more! The service is great as well; if you want something they don't have laid out on the buffet they can make it for you: pancakes, poached eggs etc, they will do it for you. Hotel restaurants are generally a hit or miss, but what is for certain is their priciness. Unfortunately, Orangerie is a miss. We came here at around 8pm on a fine Tuesday evening and there was not a soul in sight for this restaurant - that should have been our first warning. We started with tapas for 12 people. They have various tapa set selections so we got a few of each selection. We got the Across the World (29EUR), Spain (24), Quaint German(22), and Summery Light (20) Here is an example of one of the sets: "Across the World" Stuffed vine leaves Toasted goat cheese with honey and sprouts Grilled Seafood with aioli snails with herb butter exotic spit of kangaroo, zebra and springbok with sweet potato Wildschweinspareribes with honey and whiskey Small springbok steak with corn cream and wild herbs salad lamb stew with braised vegetables The one listed is too gamey for my taste, the Spain set of tapas are decent, I didn't really try the German one, and the Summery Light was not bad. For my starter, I had the Lobster Tortellini (26). The Tortellini was not stuffed with lobster as I expected, but with some type of pork stuffing and lobster meat sprinkled with the dish. It was really dry and the lobster was not fresh. I ate it, but two of my coworkers who ordered the same thing did not bother. Another colleague had the paella and said it was awful.
