She was very understanding and apologetic about the situation and assured me she would take care of the issue. True to her word, the very next day Dave, the installer who originally did the work, came to my home and repaired all of the problem areas, including the loose screens and the spline that had come out. Dave did an excellent job, just as he did during the original installation. While I was frustrated with the difficulty I had initially getting a response, I do want it noted that once Kay became involved, the company responded quickly and the problems were resolved professionally. I appreciate Kay for taking the time to listen and make things right, and I thank Dave for the quality work and for coming out promptly to fix everything.

Seemed expensive and a long lead time, but fine, they are highly rated so I went with them. During the job, they came out 4 times to measure the windows. 4 times! Also, took 3 installing visits to get it right. Again, things happen, so was just glad when the job was completed. Got the final bill. It was $1800. Called the office to ask why. Got the owner. Told it was for travel surcharge to the island. I said it wasn't part of the original quote. She then in a very patronizing way went on to tell me they sent an email in January (that I don't have in my records) telling about the surcharge. Again fine. As I was ending the call, said they need to be careful. It won't always be this busy and people will remember how she treats them. Her response was to say "she wasn't going to listen to me school her on her business and she was hanging up." And she did. Unbelievable. I wanted to tell her I also have run very large businesses, and when a customer wants to give you feedback, listen!!! Anyone who is looking to open a screening company, come to Fort Myers, FL. His dog Mackey was in the office when I went by and he was a great little fella. They were helpful, responsive and professional throughout the process. The lady at the desk was very helpful and nice. Smiling as she informed me that the price that she quoted me a few hours before was not the price I would have to pay, and that the material that was on them, the material that I wanted was not what they would use unless I wanted to pay a whole lot more. We talked about the material I wanted on the phone and she knew EXACTLY what I wanted. So they downgraded the material, and then charged me more than $100.00 more than she had quoted me (to get me to bring in the windows) and bait and switch. There was NO misunderstanding about what I wanted, she would not even look me in the eye when talking about it. They were very kind and delivered the windows (after they were paid for), and before I could inspect them. That was yesterday, today I went to reinstall them and found that they did not even wipe them off before putting the new vinyl in. If they had just hosed them off it would have helped. Now I have to be so very careful in cleaning them as to not damage the new vinyl. This is a terrible way to treat a customer, especially a senior citizen. What every happened to quality craftsmanship, honesty, integrity or even human kindness. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I have been working on one of the six windows for over an hour doing what could have been done to all of them in 5 minutes before the vinyl was put in. I am glad that some people had a good experience, I only wish I were one of them.

Hurricane Ian destroyed out pool cage and lanai gutters. We tried for two months to get a company…read moreto give us an estimate for repairs, to no avail. Then we found Topla, Inc. They called, made an appointment, were on time, came out, and we had a signed contract the 1st week of December for a new cage. They told us then they were booking work out into July, and sure enough, the last week of July they were at the house and started work. The design was to the new code, with panoramic walls. They stripped out the old framing bolted to the cement, installed the new framework with hurricane fasteners, super screening to keep no-see-ums out, new 7" super gutters and two new 42" screen doors. They were meticulous in their work. Everything fit together perfectly - no gaps or bridges between parts. The screening is tight and seamless. They cleaned up everything after the job was done, and came back a couple of days later to do some touch up painting where a piece of the framing was scratched in transport. Some of our neighbors had a lot of difficulty with the companies they used- huge delay, incomplete work, repeated return trips to fix issues. We had none of that. And, the price, which included all permitting and engineering drawing and fees, was lower than what they paid for their comparably sized (23'x36'x 4' Mansard roof on top of 9' walls plus a 9'x12'x9' extension). Their work passed inspection the first time. The new cage is beautiful, and we couldn't be happier with the work. In fact, we had them rebuild out front door areaway and have them coming back to install gutter guard for us. See the pics. We highly recommend Topla, Inc.
