Came back for my third visit to Orange Hill Liquor & am amazed at how wonderful a job the staff & new management does at making it an enjoyable experience. I don't even want to call it a liquor store because so many other liquor stores have a bad name or bad reputation. Orange hill is more of a boutique shop that has GREAT SERVICE, GREAT SELECTION, & GREAT PRICES. I love a place like this that you can feel comfortable browsing & that cares about making the environment enjoyable for its customers. This time I stayed for over an hour browsing the shop & chatting w/ MJ, who is the sweetest lady. She made me feel welcome & we chatted for quite a bit while I pondered what to pick up. Then she introduced me to the owner, Sam, who was a great guy & you could tell how much he cared about, not only the shop, but the people who came in & the surrounding community. This place had to be the most uninviting liquor store I've ever been to. It was dark, dusty and a lot the stuff was expired. Well, I heard it was under new ownership and I stopped by and wow!!!! It's not the same place, this is what a liquor store is supposed be like. Now there's a beer cave, along with huge selection of spirits, wine and mixers. The floors are new, the lighting is updated as well as the shelving and fixtures. Lastly the pricing is now consistent and competitive specially for the convenience of the location. And the staff is friendly and helpful and if they don't have something you want just ask and they'll try to get it for you. Very clean store. Tons of alcoholic beverages of all sorts. The guys that work there are friendly. However, depending on who's working, they charge different prices for the same item. One day I will be charged $15 and the next day (same item) I'll be charged $19. I can't stand that. Prices are higher than grocery store nearby, but it's all about convenience. read more

NEW OWNERSHIP! The previous owner just gave up. He never restocked and he would rip you off every chance he could. You'd walk in for a can of coke and a bag of chips and they would try and charge you 10 bucks. I'm so happy that this place finally has a new owner. He's awesome and does everything he can to accommodate his customers. My mom would always get a diet 7up for her cocktails but they didn't have it at first. When I ran into the owner I mentioned that it would be awesome if they would start carrying diet 7up. A week later I went in there and he remembered me and said "hey we got diet 7up for you." What a legend. He is trying so hard to build this place into the best liquor store for miles. And it's working. Not to mention the place looks beautiful now. So modern and well organized. read more

This liquor store has a whole new vibe. It's clean, well stocked, and the staff is super friendly (never creepy). Easily my go to quick stop when I need to make a booze run. I even come here for ice-cream! I've also been eyeing that milk tea... every time I come in it's at the entrance just waiting for me to purchase (smart product placement, hahaha). The Staff: Sam and his team are knowledgeable and helpful. No more wandering around awkwardly. The Prices: Yes they have top-self, but everything else is affordable - they even sell single cans of Cutwater! $-$$ Snacks: A variety of snacks that are new and no where near their expiry. (If you were here before Sam you know what's up...) The Lighting: As a girl, I don't regularly go into liquor stores, they are spooky. The new lighting is bright and clean. Perfect for selfies. This place used to be a dump. The new owners completely revamped the place and it's now a trendy looking spot with tons of selection. They now even have a beer cave! I stopped in for a quick bottle of whisky and got stopped in my tracks with their wall of selection. This new place is dope. This place is convenient but pricy. Got one bottle of cooks brute and it cost me almost 12$ redic. Its a 5$ bottle at best.

Hmm... where to start... -No price tags --The owner essentially charges whatever he wants, tested this with a close family member on the same pack of beer. -Pricing at least 30% more than other local liquor stores and 50%+ more than grocery stores. -Uses family to post false reviews on yelp, its obvious when the only 5 star review counters everything said by others. -On another occasion he chased me into the parking lot after he realized he forgot to charge me for one of my 5 hour energies, I paid $4 each.... They are less than $2 each in bulk elsewhere. -Does not honor manufacturer forced/controlled pricing I can't believe the state of California puts up with this crap, where is our policing over merchants that charge more than the MSRP, where is the $10,000 fine per missing price tag? Someone get down there and police this place. read more
