This Goodwill has been around forever. Through its various incarnations, though it has changed, it…read morehas remained one of the go-to spots for vintage items in Orange County. In fact, located in this facility is the actual offices of Goodwill Orange County. This Goodwill is broken up into what I would define as three main areas serving the general public. There is their main store which offers what can be expected from Goodwill. They have the various clothes, shoes, household items, electronics, furniture, and other things that you would expect to find. The second section is their electronics division. This is truly a unique component of this Goodwill facility. What you will find here, in a separate room, is a lot of used computers. Plus, they have other things such as speakers, TVs, DVD players, and items like that. In terms of their computers, they have a staff that reconditioned them. So, what you will find is computers that are all, for the most part, very functional. There's been a couple of times when I've bought used computers from this facility due to the fact that I've needed to load old programs and the new OS in my current computers would not run them. For the most part, these computers have functioned very well. I will say that one time I bought a MAC laptop that was not function correctly. And, this is where you will need to make a mental note. They do not have a proper return policy. Basically, they sell everything As-Is. Yeah, they say they will do this or do that if your computer has a problem, but basically what turns out is that if you buy it, you've bought it, and that's the end of the story. Thus, at least in that one instance with the laptop, I was left with a non-functioning unit. This is just something to keep in mind. The main thing to do when you purchased a computer from this facility is to fully test it out while you're there. Which they happily allow you to do. Thus, as stated, you usually come away with a highly functioning piece of electronic equipment. The final section of this business is their donation area. This is a drive-thru donation area. This is both good and bad. If you get behind somebody who's unloading tons of stuff and/or wants to talk to the employees, you can be in line for quite a while. This is no fun. But, most of the time you don't have to worry about that. The people that work at this part of the Goodwill are mostly nice. But, like yesterday, I would say that the way the employee who helped me did his job was entirely inappropriate and just lazy. To tell the story, I donated about two thousand CDs. As I was unloading the bags of CDs, I could see that the employee was just lifting the bags up and dumping them into this large bin. Obviously, what was happening, by doing his job in this way, is that many of the cases for the CDs were either gonna be broken and/or the CDs would be bounced out of their cases. I'm sorry, this is just poor workmanship. It is very lazy. And, I believe, this is not the way the job should have been done. But, for most of your donations, you shouldn't have any problem at all. Overall, if you want to go to a really large Goodwill store, that offers a really unique take on electronic devices, and all of the other stuff Goodwill is known to offer, this is probably the best location in Orange County.

This review is solely for the store and not the outdoor marketplace…read more My pictures don't show how spacious this place is. It is huge! And great selections of almost everything, from games, books, and electronics, school supplies, you name it. Very good prices on nearly everything I saw. I walked away empty handed today but would definitely come back here and do some more digging. If you enjoy thrifting like I do, then this is one of the best Goodwills I've ever been to.

HORRIBLE! I hired Catherine for her 30 year +…read moreexperience of liquidating high end estates. I was hoping to sell several large items in the five figure range as well as many collectible pieces of Herend, Lladro, Royal Copenhagen and Waterford. The two day set up was a disaster. Their pricing methodology was a joke. I was hands on and kept a list of my items with the pricing. I was told this was a waste of time. Later, I found out why. All my collectibles were sold at garage sale prices. Also, items in my home not marked for sale were sold for peanuts without asking. I was ordered out of my home one hour prior to the sale start time on Day #1. They needed this time to "embellish" my sale without my knowledge. These items included fur coats on a rack, many purses of all sizes, scarves , "Chanel" sunglasses and professional jewelry cases. At the end of day #1 of the sale I arrived home with my house left unlocked and no staff present. My living room had been turned into a retail shop. The second day of the sale I arrived to my home earlier to be screamed at by the manager as their items from my living room were being packed up. No customers present. At my insistence I was handed a poor list of my items sold. I could only take a photo copy of it. I was then paid my 60%. Catherine made herself unavailable for the entire four day fiasco. Her "manager" was the most abusive, ruthless and uncaring human being I have ever dealt with. Please stay away at all cost! Beware!!!

Finally the day before the auction I received an email asking for information about the lot # that I was interested in even though I had included that information in each email. And here we are, 30mins prior to the start of the auction, and I still haven't been approved to bid. I am beyond furious. This auction house is sloppy with poor attention to detail. They don't reply to email in a timely manner. They don't carefully read their emails. They don't care if you are registered to bid or not. If you are a seller then you should beware that this auction house is not going to do their best to ensure that you get the best price for your items. If you are a bidder, then don't get your hopes up that you will be able to bid on the item you wish for because John Moran just doesn't care.

Strong Recommendation for Phil and Downsizing Solutions…read more It's so important to hire someone who truly knows what they're doing when handling an estate sale. Unfortunately, my recent sellers chose a company on their own, and in my opinion, they were greatly taken advantage of. The experience reminded me just how exceptional Phil and his team at Downsizing Solutions are. Phil is, without question, one of the best estate sale professionals I've ever worked with. To give some perspective, the company my sellers used spent only three days going through the home, while Phil typically dedicates two to three weeks to carefully sort, organize, and price everything so each item is displayed and visible. This particular home was filled with high-end items, many brand new and countless tools and collectibles stored in every room and closet. The other company didn't set up enough display tables, leaving many valuable items unseen and underpriced. In contrast, Phil and his team use every available space, even setting up tables in the backyard if needed, ensuring that everything is visible and well-presented. Phil consistently draws large crowds, often with hundreds of people lined up before the sale even opens, and his sales generate strong returns for sellers. He also goes above and beyond after the sale, working closely with clients to organize donations and provide documentation for tax write-offs. It's difficult to see clients taken advantage of, especially when they simply didn't know the difference in quality and professionalism among estate sale companies. I did recommend Phil, but they chose someone who was personally connected to the deceased. It was a hard lesson learned, and I want to make sure others don't have the same experience. If you ever need someone reliable, professional, and truly dedicated to helping clients get the best results from an estate sale, I can only recommend Phil and Downsizing Solutions. Just wanted to share this for future reference, he's the best there is. Warm regards, Bridget Steffensen

Had a terrible experience with Phil from Downsizing Solutions LA at one of his sales recently…read more He says his sales are organized - far from it and there's a serious lack of communication between team members. His team all seemed to be unhappy. I would be too if I worked for a short-tempered and crooked boss like him. If you're a good judge of character, just take one look at him and you can tell he's not a good guy. Watch out for being overcharged! He'll take the opportunity any chance he can. I witnessed him overcharging another customer, and then it happened to us immediately after. When the other customer brought it to his attention, he forcefully and rudely handed her the money back while borderline cursing at her. Unbelievable. We're the only reason why you're even in business, buddy! When we brought to his attention about us being overcharged, we got nothing but attitude and rudeness. We were finally able to recover the money he shorted us, only after having to threaten to report him. Avoid this company. There are dozens and dozens of other estate sale companies to support. Message to Phil: You should consider being a politician instead...better fit for you.
