I just got back from one of the worst buying experiences ever. I just wanted to buy a Liveplug WiFi. I told the first guy (after waiting 10 minutes and trying to find it myself), but he just told me I had to register my name before answering any questions, and then he left.
The second guy, that was supposted to take my name, did not do so. After waiting for 15 minutes to talk to him, he told me I had to go to the cashier and buy it. Where I stood when I asked the first guy...
After getting in the back of the line where I started and waiting another 15 minutes, I got help. That guy got me in touch with a fourth guy, that all of the sudden asked me about the electricity in my house. After trying to get across that I know exactly what I want and just want to buy it, they go get... the wrong thing. A Liveplug WiFi Duo. I just needed a single one. Another couple of minutes later, time to pay. Easy, right? Nope! It took another 5 minutes to just pay after I got the price.
How can a store be this inefficient? How can it be so hard to buy a simple item when I know exactly what I want? I told every single person along the line exactly what I needed but it still took a total of 50 minutes to get it. read more
