Mostly locals (I only heard foreign languages spoken) go their on a weekly basis. There is an easy check in just to use the bath house and the mineral pool. It is a very large resort type looking pool that you ease into through an enclosed glass entry. The depth ranges from two feet at the end where the water comes out and is probably 110 or so. You can lie back with a noodle under your head and just be a tadpole. The farther away from the source, the water gradually gets deeper and cooler. There is at the end a 7-10 foot part in which to swim if you like. It's still plenty warm. No question it is most fun in the fall, winter and early spring when the air is chilly. People gather in small groups in the shallow end and just chat as the fog rolls along the top of the water. You can spend a few hours just relaxing and then a shower and off to dinner. They have secure lockers and a restaurant as well as a little café. If you want you can book treatments at the spa as part of your visit. I think it is about 14 Euros to use the facilities. Best money I ever spent.

I love that the shutters when closed leave the apartment completely dark for the days you want to sleep in. Bed was comfortable and cosy. Kitchenette was missing basic items such as a cutting board, and the stove was difficult to use without instructions. Also, housekeeping never replenished the toiletries (e.g., shampoo and conditioner) despite us asking them to. The walls are also very thin so you can hear the neighbours especially if they start yelling at each other (angry English). The restaurant was amazing. We had the meat and cheese platter (12 euros), gnocchi with clams and mussels (10 euros), and the seafood risotto (13 euros). There were some interesting cheeses on there (one with lemon), and the seafood was fresh! The bread was homemade, and was delicious. Our bill came to 57 euros with a bottle of wine and service charge - totally worth it! Please go check out the restaurant at least once if you visit! The views are also spectacular from the outside dining area. If you see the little black cat wandering around, he's super friendly and sweet (albeit scabby) so give him a couple of pats!

Found it pretty hard to find any cuisine that might qualify in my book but this place seemed promising. Indeed it was the right spot! The personnel I encountered all spoke French and the menu had decidedly French dishes, including one of the best tests of good French cooking, boeuf bourguignon! The bread basket brought to the table was the first sign of real French style and proper goodness. The entree was delicious and the creamy mashed potatoes, while perhaps not considered traditional by many, were well made and I say bravo! The music astounded me because it was live and very good! Two older gentleman playing saxophone or trumpet and keyboard doing covers of Sinatra and the like. Made for great atmosphere. Was it the best French I've ever had? No, but it was a fine alternative to Italian if the desire comes your way, too.
