Formally known as Health Care Partners. Same doctors and staff, just a change in ownership. This is the new building after the one in DTLA near Staple Centers got closed. Plenty of free parking in their high rise with validation. They ask you multiple COVID related questions before you can enter their building. The check in area can use some improvement. Sometimes they are not very customer oriented. I hate waiting for my turn when they are too busy talking amongst themselves instead of checking in the patients. I've been late to my appointment on occasion because of them. Very nice building and patient examination rooms. Waiting areas are comfortable and pleasant looking, I just wish the TV show on was in English instead of Spanish. No one else was in the waiting area so it would have been nice to change the channel if I could have. Instead of seeing my primary care physician, I chose to see the nurse practitioner because of the service that I needed. Maria Mendoza is a very nice NP and I have always felt very comfortable speaking to her openly. She's a good listener. The only disadvantage is that she's not at this location every day. She also goes to the Montebello office so it's challenging to get an appointment to see her. Sometimes the nurse has to draw my blood which I prefer instead of having to go to the lab. The nurses here have always been very good at drawing my blood, they listen to me when I tell them the best vein to use. My doctor wanted me to schedule an x-ray, so I called the number that I was given and left a voicemail. Unfortunately, they NEVER called me back, so I decided to go to the Optum located in Glendale instead. Overall, besides the distance from my home and work, I like this place.

Didn't care that I was waiting over 20 min. I got tired of waiting to address the issue so I left. Do not come to this clinic. Waste of time!

AVOID COMING HERE FOR YOUR BOOSTER. I was thrilled to snag a day-of appointment online after searching high and low...snagged the earliest I could find, at 6:10pm, showed up 10min early...and did not leave the premises until 8:30pm. Honestly, the staff isn't bad, the facility is in decent condition, and I was surprised how chill the (demographically diverse) crowd was despite how long we had to wait. +1 star for that. But...they operate at a DMV-level of slow. Unapologetically. The line snaked out of the parking lot and moved slowly. Once checked-in, you step into another line. Then wait outside in the cold for what feels like an eternity, then get shuffled into a waiting room inside. Then another waiting room. Then wait outside medical rooms before whichever nurse became available called you in. An utter nightmare if you hate waiting around. Also I got the heebies right before my shot, paranoid about how "pro" they are here as the tech who guided me in didn't even have his mask on properly (nor covering his nose). Shout out to this one younger black gal (Lori?) who was really sweet and tried to be efficient, checking people in while they were still in the line. She was the best part of the experience. At least checking on us periodically even towards the tail end, and how she has that positive aura I have no idea. The experience made me sad and grateful. Found out this is a community healthcare center so they deal with high volume and probably low financial support. That usually correlates to low incentive for staff to be productive. Again this review is only based on the vaccine experience, just to be transparent about what to expect...

I wish I could give zero stars. I genuinely cannot find words strong enough to describe how…read moreunacceptable this experience was. I scheduled an appointment for a test, submitted all required paperwork, and provided my insurance information ahead of time. My very first question when calling the clinic was about cost, and I was explicitly told that my insurance was accepted. However, upon arriving for my appointment, I was informed that my insurance was not accepted and that I would need to pay $150 out of pocket. This information should have been clearly communicated from the beginning. The issue is not the amount--it's the misleading and inconsistent communication that appears designed to get patients into the office before disclosing unexpected charges. To make matters worse, while the staff was polite on the phone, the in-office experience was the complete opposite. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and repeatedly passed responsibility onto one another rather than taking ownership or attempting to resolve the issue. This business has serious communication and professionalism problems. Staff need proper training to ensure accurate information is given and that patients are treated with basic respect. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This is a clinic with overall good primary care…read more I was looking for a clinic that allows same-day new patient appointments for immunization titer labs and I was glad this clinic worked. I had looked over many of the providers/locations that my health insurance Aetna covers but I didn't see this clinic on the list. Luckily this clinic also accepts Aetna. I found this clinic simply by using Google Maps to find the nearest clinics to my home. My appointment was on a Friday afternoon and there were only a few patients when I was there. I didn't wait too long before I was seen. The front desk assistant, lab technician and the PA who I had interactions with were all nice. They were helpful when they answered my questions and fulfilled my needs. After the clinic obtained and processed my blood lab work, it took them around 2 weeks to give me a follow-up (via telehealth/virtual) update of my lab results. Then it took a while for the physician to sign my lab report and for me to receive my PDF lab report. I had to message my PA on the online patient portal to remind them about the PDF lab report. I'd continue to use this clinic if I'm staying in this area! One thing I wish this clinic could improve was the new patient paperwork. I had answered all those questions on that very extensive new patient survey (online), but I had to re-answer many of the same questions when I was at the clinic in-person. I saw the lab technician type in all my answers on my patient profile. They could have transferred all my pre-filled online survey data to my patient profile before or after I visited. I didn't like it when I had to wait for them to manually fill in all my information when I had spent a long time filling out that very extensive new patient survey beforehand.

Super easy to talk to, takes time to maximize your visit, and is very thorough. Another plus is that they are in-network with my Aetna insurance plan. It's super quick to get in and out for a lab draw, flu shots, etc. there's been literally no waiting each time I've gone in to the office. Scheduling an in-person or video visit with my PCP is usually within 1-2 days, at most. If you're willing to see another provider to be seen sooner, you can usually get something for the same day. I see some of the older reviews mention some constructive feedback - but I can say my experience has been nothing but excellent. Sure, traffic in DTLA can take a few extra minutes and then you have the parking garage, but it's a fair trade off for excellent care.

The care I received from Rachel Dong MD and Ann Martella-Jane's, PA-C was top notch. The receptionist was friendly and efficient. And the view from their office? Unbelievable! I'll add a pic. Def recommend going here.

OK for UCLA health downtown I would give them five stars except for the fact that I have had…read morecontinual problems with pain management, which is the entire reason why I came to UCLA to get all my doctors in one place. I had originally been referred to UCLA by Cedar Sinai Due to my severe gastrointestinal issues. They needed to get me into motility ASAP and only UCLA had that type of ability at that time. I was also notified that UCLA had a cardiac electrophysiology team, which is extremely rare and something I definitely need. I then went to find out about pain management because I was having problems with my previous pain management doctor not putting in authorizations and making some very serious mistakes. I went to UCLA Santa Monica to see the Head Of pain management who told me to get Primary through UCLA and get on palliative care for my pain management. from day one I was gaslit. Instead of me being referred to palliative care I was sent to a pain management Doctor Who said it was only fibromyalgia and that I didn't have any records. It was crazy! I came in with a stack of medical records! It was like she didn't hear a word I said or look at any of my medical records...(she was denying that I had any autoimmune diseases, even though I had records with me stating proof otherwise). From day one she immediately started titrating my dose. Lowering my meds to the point where I ended up having major problems with my heart and more, even after Cardiac electrophysiology stated very clearly that my uncontrolled pain was the direct cause of my heart stopping, my pain management doctor still refused to increase my dose to where it needed to be as determined by pain management at UCLA Ronald Reagan campus, and even went as far as to cut it even further! I was just asking for my medication to be brought back to the level it was at when I came in! Instead, she was trying to get me to take medication that would put me into withdrawals and not benefit my pain at all. Medication's for opioid use disorder or substance use disorder! I am coming up on 23 years of sobriety, which I take very seriously and my pain management doctor is trying to paint me as drug seeking! How many times do I have to be cleared by Addiction Medicine before this woman will listen to Addiction Medicine saying that I am sustained recovery no evidence of opioid use disorder Cures database consistent. Extremely low risk so why am I being treated like I am drug seeking when I go to the hospital because the pain is stopping my heart? Other than that UCLA has been great downtown LA the workers are very polite and welcoming and extremely helpful. In one building I have x-ray, rheumatology, cardiology, hematology, endocrinology, etc. etc. you can't beat that I'm not blaming UCLA for the pain management problem. I am blaming the DEA for this crazy oversight and limitation set on amount of medication you can get. For instance, they will say "only for cancer type pain" there are a lot of conditions that are a lot more painful than the worst of cancer such as complex regional pain syndrome, a.k.a. CRPS one of the problems I am dealing with. The fact is that Pain kills! I have proof of it from just about a week ago when it was stopping my heart with my pacemaker in it. The doctor wrote specifically that it was the direct result of my uncontrolled pain that was causing my heart to stop and have the other deadly rhythms. So five stars for UCLA except for their understanding of pain. Oh, I almost forgot the last TIA that I had as a result of pain I still have not gotten my memory back and had to back out of my bachelors degree because I could no longer count, I've had to take off four terms of school in a row now For the second year due to all of this suffering. To close it out I would suggest UCLA 100% except for the fact I have been lied to, I have been ignored, and they have put my life in danger with the gaslighting and refusing to give me the proper medicine that I need and I am not out of the woods yet. one more flare of pain can stop my heart permanently. Honestly, I am inches from having my pacemaker shut off and they could care less. I think one less problem Patient for them. :(
