I had spoken with Jen before hand and explained that my friend could not use drops as he had a very allergic reaction to them that had put him in the emergency room before. She said if they could not examine him without drops she woud let us know before hand. We got there on time, filled out papers and then another women who worked there told him that they would not see him without using drops. That is very unethical. My friend has been blind for years with cataracts and we were so looking forward to him getting help. They should have let us know before driving all that distance.

I have been wearing glasses for 20 years and contacts for 12 and I have never had such a bizarrely awful experience such as this one. Obviously there was some scheduling mishaps. As soon as I walked in, maybe 8 minutes late, (their building is hidden behind a giant tree,) it was "we don't have time for this" or this, etc. Mrs. Robson acted as though I was 45 minutes late and she was very abrasive and rude to me the whole time. Frantic, frazzled, unprofessional the whole time, at one point 10 seconds into the eye pressure puff test she shot up from her chair and exclaimed "Just nevermind"!! And stormed out of the room. Not only is that rude and disrepectful, whatever that test checked for she could care less if I was at risk since she clearly didn't have time for me. Then the contacts. She switched the brand of contact I've been wearing for years to one that cost 4 times more without telling me the price hike. Her receptionist was unsmiling, rude and even pushy. They kept trying to push me to buy my contacts from them, even though I told them I like using 1800contacts and I get a better deal. After I tried buying the new contacts and finding out about the price, I called to get them to switch to my old brand and they still tried to force me to go through them and buy the new expensive brand, and I had to tell them NO again. Thankfully I was able to get my old contacts through 1800contacts finally. I would never recommend this office. Very unprofessional and rude staff.

The other reviewer seems incredibly rude just by reading her review, and if mrs. Robson behaved that way she was probably being truthful in that the woman was late and not cooperating with her. This is a very quick and easy office, if there's a problem here it's probably you.

Went on 4/1/21…read more Needed new contacts Rx. Cost $125, which included a new glasses Rx. Tested for glaucoma, which was a very quick test with a handheld device (a tonometer?). Also got 5 free pairs of my contacts Rx to see if they worked. If not, I could come back in for free and try a different brand. I asked for dailies and was prescribed 1-Day Acuvue Moist. They seem pretty good! Asked for an extended expiration date, as I know that's legal and I didn't want to have to renew my Rx each year, but Dr. Cooper was afraid of liability. Understandable. Also let him know I'm trying to save money and would probably order online. Dr. Cooper was very professional. Also, he warned me that dailies will often cost a lot more than bi-weeklies, so I appreciate that. As it turns out, the cost at Dr. Cooper's office for my brand is on par with 1-800-contacts, and of course, you're supporting a local business. Beforehand, I had called around, and other optometrists charged the same or more for a contacts Rx. Long story short, I was very happy Dr. Cooper and his staff, and I recommend them. (In full disclosure to help those also on a budget, if your Rx hasn't changed (i.e., your contacts still work fine), then you can renew your Rx online for $20. 1-800-contacts does it, but I think others are even free (if you order from them). No glaucoma test, though. Google for at-home/DIY options; hopefully they'll get better/cheaper soon.)

I took time off work to attend the appointment to be told they may not see me today because they couldn't get ahold of insurance. Why was I not called and told about the situation. Why was it not suggested that I would need to be rescheduled once insurance was verified. This was very unprofessional and waste of my time. EVEN THOUGH, the glasses are right there, FOR SALE. Good grief! But these folks claim it is a different transaction, so it is actually impossible for me to claim I am buying the glasses at the same time as I get the exam, even if that is exactly what I was doing. What a complete ripoff!
