Meet the Business Owner: Mat S.

Since a young age, aviation has been a passion of mine. In pursuit of this passion I studied Aviation and Flight Technology at Bowling Green State University where I earned my private pilot license, working towards becoming a commercial pilot. In my third year, athletics brought me to Young Harris, GA, where I will complete my bachelor's degree in Business at Young Harris College. Since then, drones have fuelled my passion for aviation, which has led me to obtaining my part 107 remote pilot license and creating Optix Drones.

Optix Drones has provided me with top-notch, professional results. I will definitely use them again. I hired Optix for two different jobs in July to document large tracts of mountain land. Both times the results were stellar. Owner/drone pilot Mat Szabo was a pleasure to work with. He really made an effort to get me the video and photos that I was seeking. Mat is a FAA licensed drone pilot, knows all the rules and regulations, and flies a high-quality 4k drone. The video and photos captured on both jobs exceeded my expectations. read more
