Horrible. Lied about me needing a root canal and once I tried to ask them they hung up on me and refuse to answer my calls.

So I have always had this massive fear of going to the dentist, and because of that my teeth have suffered. Coming here, I was wary. But the staff from the moment I walked in, to the day I got my teeth pulled, were absolutely amazing. Courteous and friendly, informative, and fairly attentive. I needed 3 wisdom teeth and two busted ones removed, and they helped me figure out cost options (to which we settled on the Care Credit with NO interest for 18 months). Maria, who helped us with the cost options even stayed 30 minutes after close to help us find a reasonable payment plan. And it worked! She was EXTREMELY friendly. Today I had the teeth taken out. They showed the utmost care for my well being during the process, helped me relax, and explained everything about the after care. Dr. Thevenin was pleasant, warm, welcoming, and funny. 100% WOULD recommend seeing him. The Dental Assistant Shanice was wonderful. She greeted us every time she saw us even if she wasn't directly helping us at the time. Her calm and up beat demeanor was probably what helped me stay calm during the procedures. Thank you Shanice! I didn't get the names of some of the other employees, but everyone else I interacted with was friendly and quick. Thank you Aspen Dental, I appreciate you.

The root canals Aspen advised the endodontist I may need, are not actually needed! The bit of pain I had experienced was from exposed root from brushing too hard, something Aspen didn't even bother to address. I wanted to provide this update to let others know Aspen recommended unnecessary major dental work!

Anyway, I had an appointment today and I called them as I was on my way to let them know that I was running late. They told me that they could see me if I arrived by 10 after. I walked in at 1:11 PM. I stood there and waited for a minute as she told me that she was going to check to see if they would still see me today. After waiting a minute or two, she told me to have a seat, after another minute, she told me that I could not be seen today and I would have to reschedule. I replied by saying that on the phone she told me that if I arrived at 10 after I could be seen. I also said that I'm a traveling healthcare worker and I can only be seen on Mondays. I said I have rescheduled this appointment three times Because of my job and I really need to be seen today. She told me if it was so important for me to be seen today then and I should've been early and time. I said, i'm sorry, but I was working in the yard since it was a nice day and I lost track of time. I again stated that I arrived within the allotted time and I don't understand why they can't see me today. The receptionist's coworker turned around and said actually you arrived at 1:12 PM. I responded that according to my phone it was 1:11 PM when I walked through the door, (but when I arrived in the parking lot it was 1:10pm). The receptionist pointed to the door and said you can leave now. I responded by saying I will never be back if I leave. The receptionist responded saying, "good and we won't miss you.! " What is wrong with these people?

I went for a cleaning today and my hygienist was angry and rough. She spent the entire time berating and bullying me. I tried to gently joke and let her know I was on her side and I wasn't averse to seeing what my out-of-pocket would be, but she just kept going on and being rough. I wanted to bring this up with the dentist - I'm a patient not a health insurance plan - but she didn't really speak to me and rushed out afterwards. I didn't even receive the complimentary toothbrush. I decided to call and let them know that they were not inspiring loyalty with this type of tactic. The office manager was defensive and kept talking over me. I hung up and I won't go back. Wow. So unprofessional. Medicine should focus on the patient, not how much money you can wring out of them. Regardless of insurance plan, if you're going to treat someone, do it with kindness and respect.

I went in for my first appt with this dentist, for a routine cleaning, and will not be returning. Their practices are unsafe and extremely uncomfortable. While getting X-rays, there was no protective vest and the tech stayed in the room (very unsafe for the them as well). Once the dentist came in to "look over the X-rays", he did not even look at the X-rays, didn't show me them, and didn't even mention them at all. He just looked at my teeth, and said everything looked good. Even after I brought up recent sensitivity I've been having with one of my front teeth, he asked if I'd ever had braces and blamed the sensitivity on having braces (I got the braces off 11 years ago...). The dentist was doing the cleaning himself (uncommon but okay) and only used used the sharp pick that sprayed water out of it and scraped and poked at my gums extremely aggressively which made them bleed a lot more than usual, left two red sores on the back of my gums where my wisdom teeth used to be, and then heavily scraped the pick back and forth against the front of my teeth (almost feeling like he was trying to cause damage). All while never picking up his little mirror to even see what he was doing to the inner side of my teeth. He left the room in the middle of my cleaning to work on another patient across the hall who I heard hysterically sobbing in pain and him and the tech were telling her to be quiet and to get through that part and the rest would be numbed. After he finished my "cleaning" he said the tech would then polish my teeth. She ended up pulling out a paste and said "I'm going to put this on your teeth now, it's mint" and she didn't tell me in was fluoride until I had to ask her what it was. She wouldn't have even told me or given me the option to do fluoride or not if I hadn't asked... and then she just smeared it on my teeth with a little brush (did not use the polisher tool once) and left it globbed on just the front of my front teeth, not even on any of the canine teeth at all. Left it like that and said I was free to go. Overall worst and most unsafe, unethical, unprofessional experience I've ever had at a dentist's office. So bad I've even considered reporting them to the board.

The attendants at the front desk were friendly and the X-ray technician was personable and welcoming. However, that all went downhill. The dentist or his assistant did not introduce themselves. The assistant seemed to be reciting memorized lines, like "brush your teeth twice a day, after meals. Be sure to floss and use mouth wash." The dentist looked at my teeth real quick and told his assistant, "no cavities". Then, the cleaning started. The assistant told me that there would be "water going into my mouth and suction". During the cleaning, water and plaque and whatever else is in a person's mouth was splayed all over my face...during the entire cleaning. Never once was there an attempt to wipe my face or a "sorry". It was disgusting and rude. The dentist was very rough while cleaning my teeth, painfully rough, and quick, like he was trying to race to finish. He left immediately after he felt the cleaning was complete, without a word. The assistant tried to schedule me an appointment, but I declined and she told me that corporate would probably make an appointment for me and send me a message and that I could cancel it. The dentist never said anything to me until after the visit was finished, he popped his head in real quick to say a very speedy "thank you". I have been to several dentists within my lifetime and have gone through many, many routine cleanings and check-ups. This was not normal. This was the worst dental experience I have ever had. I can see why some people are afraid to go to the dentist with occurrences like this happening. I gave two stars only because the girls at the check-in desk and the X-ray technician were wonderful to interact with, the main point of going to a dentist, the dentist, was terrible though. I will not be returning.
