I am so glad I picked Total Dental. I stopped to see when I could get an appointment to have a bad painful infected tooth extracted and they took me rite in, checked me out (very patiently and carefully) and got me to the oral surgeon rite then who did the extraction and on my way home by afternoon. I spent over 15 years being afraid to go to the dentist because I didn't know there was an office like Dr. Dickey and his team out there. In the year I have been a patient, Dr. Dickey, Tracy, and every other team member have been there for me anytime I call or need anything. They have created a warm, comforting atmosphere in which I feel like the only person that matters to them every time I am there. I have had several appointments and a lot of work, but I have yet to be afraid to go to an appointment. I went to them for many years, as they offered 'conscious sedation', as I have a major fear of dentists. For that, they charged me $400, which is essentially 2 little pills & observation during my dental visit. I eventually changed dentist's due to a great recommendation of another dentist in a nearby city ... he also offered 'conscious sedation' and observation with 2 little pills .... and his charge was $2.00 (the cost of the pills) ..... my experience at Total Dental Care was highway robbery, to say the least !!!!! read more

Sadly greatly disappointed in Dr. Dickey. His dentures are extremely poor quality. I went through him making my dentures the first time, they were huge, it took a total of three start overs to finish them. When they were finally finished there were bubbles all over the outer portion of the acrylic. They were hurting the second I put them. I knew the exact sore spots, he did not make one adjustment at the final seating. Told me to wear them so that the sore spots would be very evident then come in for an adjustment. His chair side manner is extremely rushed, and arrogant. He seems to push implants. I paid over six grand to be ripped off.. Next step is to consult with ADA for peer review or further action. read more

No one, I don't care who you are, looks forward to going to the dentist. In fact when I have to go I have to talk myself out of the car- it is like Rocky Balboa going into the ring. That being said, every since I began going to Total Dental Care, my attitude has changed completely. Don't get me wrong, I don't do my patented happy dance when I have to go, but I am no longer scared or being forced out of my car. It begins with the receptionists who are always sweet, helpful and cheerful. They welcome you like family. The waiting room is not the typical dental office with outdated magazines. It is beautifully decorated and has the latest magazines to whisk you away to celebrity drama and make you forget you are waiting to have your teeth drilled. The dental assistants are amazing! They walk you through every single step of your dental process, and are always making sure you are ok. The dentists are so knowledgeable and honest, and tell you what truly needs to be done and what can wait, and furthermore explain why. Dr. Dickey is one of the most gentle and kind doctors you will meet! When your dental work gets done they are truly gentle and give you breaks when you need them. I have had the sedation dentistry there for a longer procedure and nothing could have been easier. There is no where else I would go for my dental work. read more
