Vishan responded back that the store had a pair and will hold it for a month until my arrival. Fast forward to the Monday after the opening weekend of Oktoberfest. I could barely get myself out my hotel room in the afternoon, let alone wait 45 minutes at Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap for their Kebap. After my snack, I walked through the Marienplatz + Viktualienmarkt for another 10 minutes before I arrived at the store. All the sales associates were busy with customers however security and one of the associates acknowledged me when I walked in. I walked around the store for 10 minutes before a sales associate was free. One of the sales associate tried looking for my shades however was not able to located it. Then Vishan who I was in contact with back in August greeted me and looked in the stockroom for the sunglasses. He wasn't able to locate the specific sunglasses however he was able to to show me another option that was 100 euros less and fitted since I have a wide head. He then offered me a water which he probably saw I needed after the weekend. I was hoping to be offered champagne like the Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris however I think it was a good thing. Vishan was patient while I tried the other colors of that sunglasses. With his consultation, I ended up with the SL28 metal. He processed my sale and also did the necessary paperwork along with giving me a pass for the Global Blue lounge down the block. I had a good experience at the store and was able to save some a hundred euro or two for a pair of quality sunglasses.

Since they are designed for running it was important that they fit correctly but unfortunately they kept sliding off my face. Over the course of one week my wife emailed them several times asking to see if we could return the glasses (we'd even pay for the shipping) but we didn't even get a reply. The selection at Leidmann is great. However as a customer, it feels like they don't necessarily care about my satisfaction and customer experience and care more about making money. If you're based in the US I'd recommend staying away from them.

This place is a wonderful place to browse and buy glasses. They carry a small range of products but…read morereally high quality stuff. Many of their products are also exclusively German made. Staff are very helpful and I was tested straightaway. The woman who did the testing was very patient even though her English was not great and showed me around all the choices of frames and had very honest opinion on how things looked when I tried them on. I like that in anyone working in a shop. She also had a strong opinion on the lens I should get and with confidence only showed me the one she wanted me to get. What can I say ? I am a sucker for strong opinions and particularly if it happens to be a German woman...lol I chose a company that is based in Berlin called Mykita and make hand crafted stainless steel frames. Their stuff is fantastic :-) This place is not cheap but the stuff they have is top class.

Fresh flowers, meats, cheeses, baked goods and fresh baked breads, and of course beer and wine bars. There's something here for everyone and it's always fun checking out all the different booths. I walked over every morning for fresh Cappuccino at Leo's Kaffee and would pick up a pastry at one of the bakeries. In the afternoon, I would stop by the pickle guy and buy a few of the best pickles I've ever eaten. So many choices from sweet to sour, spicy and my favorite a super sour with a spicy horseradish. The long line moves quickly and if you like pickles, you must stop here.

Unfortunately, I visited during the holidays, so some stalls weren't open. One shop in particular really caught my attention--it specialized in mustard (Senf) and offered so many varieties I had never seen or even heard of before. I was excited to try everything. Prices ranged from €2 to €7 per bottle, and while I was tempted to buy several, my luggage limitations held me back. In the end, I chose two: black truffle mustard and matcha mustard. Can't wait to try them once I'm back home.

Maoz is an extremely talented carpenter, photographer and of course, a huge music fan. This has been his desire for a long time and, I am glad he finally did it. The shop is located about 3 mins walk from the Josephplatz U-Bahn station and, is on a quite street. It is quite spacious and divided into three rooms. At the moment he has two rooms open and, will open the third, once it's all decorated and he has all the shelving and so on in place. The design is quite retro and has his distinct personal touch. Nice comfortable chairs, spaces to sit and have coffee, read a book or, just listen to some cool music. The coffee he has is a from a bio roasters and quite intense and flavourful. He has a wide selection of music from jazz, blues, classics, rock and an eclectic blend that suits many different music tastes. Browse through the boxes and I am sure there will be some nice surprises in store. Prices are also reasonable, I think they are anyway ;-) I am sure this place will evolve over time and, he will add many more interesting things to the place including books, photographs for sale and so on. I look forward to watching this over the coming months to see how it further develops. A nice addition to the area and I hope you agree. I did consider giving him 5 starts but I deducted one as he is a friend :-)) No further deduction is required ;-)

The shop offers a good selection of new and used records with focus on rock and jazz, but also a smaller selection of soundtracks, electronic and more exotic genres is available. The prices are fair and the cool thing about this shop is that you also can get a very good cup of coffee while listning to the records you have sought out for yourself. I find myself dropping by the shop often to look through the new arrivals - and of course to get the good coffee! A highly recommended experience for vinyl and coffee lovers!
