I didn't catch their name but they were large , had long dark hair and honestly had a very unpleasant odor. Not to mention they were the least professional person I've ever met. They rushed me, didn't hear my concerns and ultimately let me walk out without spending a dime. As a walk-in, I was in and out in less than an hour, and a good chunk of that time was me looking…read morethrough frames. Stanton is a new (to me) concept where the doctor is not on-site, so your exam is considered "hybrid." One technician will take in your information and you fill out the form on an ipad. Another technician will take you to a room and do all the eye measurements (including the one where they blow a puff of air into your eye) - then, things take an interesting turn. You're brought into a room with a mounted screen in front of you. The doctor shows up on the screen and the technician does all the set up work for him (including sanitizing all the machinery). The doctor explained the hybrid process and was very professional. The exam went on like it would normally do. He controls the slides from wherever he is. If there was a lag in communication, I didn't feel it. My left eye seems to not have a cylinder or axis numbers which is a little weird? Unfortunately, with age, it was determined I needed progressive lenses. BUT! The good news: My insurance covered all levels of the progressive lenses (so I got the ultra premium at no cost). My copay was $10, and my insurance gave me a $150 allowance on frames. I picked some that were lower than that price so my frames were covered, so I only paid for the blue-light blocking coating, and the polycarbonate. Anti-glare and was also included. The grand total, including shipping, was $63.41. Original price? $704.91. Heck. Yeah. The only thing I would change would be to make the selection of glasses bigger, and have them better organized based on their color price system. They were all scattered around, and I'd find some really nice frames only to see they were above my price point.

The nurse who was dilating my daughter's eyes was very rude and raised her voice to my daughter because the drops hurt her eyes and my daughter tried to rub them. All I could do was try to console my daughter so we could move on. I was then instructed to go next door (same office) to have her measured for glasses. We stood there waiting while 2 females sat upfront, not on the phone or assisting another client, only working on their computer. 15 minutes later the receptionist from next door came over to see if we'd been helped and asked these ladies to help us. We were finally told what sizes and glasses to look at and then told we'd be given a call as soon as they were ready. Today I called to follow up, 14 days later only to be told they called another number (not given to them by me) and left it as is. The receptionist confirmed the only number on her file was my phone number but no one tried to contact the correct number.
